Correct; Pippa, Will, & JR. Think what must be going thru JR's mind...if he hadn't crashed at Indy Dan wouldn't have been in the race today.
Whenever he participated in the odd race, I looked forward to it as I knew he'd make the most of the one time ride. Always rooted for him and I'm in shock.
Yep. Plus he was the in-race reporter and the live feed was an in-car view from his car as the wreck began. All very bizarre, almost spooky. Danica's movie analogy was spot-on; Hollywood stuff from the Indy win to today's race circumstances to the accident.
Wonder if his spotter was able to warn him? Looked like he kept his foot down and plowed right into someone else's accident.

+1 The smoke could be seen from his in car before they pulled away to the aerial shot of the accident.
People will be asking a lot of questions about this: 34 cars? speeds too high? track too fast? No good answers....
They'll have hours of videotape and recordings of him doing what he loved. Compare that to the children who lose their fathers on the highways. Because of safety features innovated by motorsports, there are thousands and thousands of kids who don't lose their dads on the highway. Every death is a tragedy.
