    Hey guys,

Still planning to pull the trigger on my Racedeck order but have been slammed with other projects and more importantly a new baby girl. Anyway, my other hang-up has been my floor design. I'm hoping to get some feedback or maybe other ideas for me to think about. I like clean lines but am wanting this to be more random in design which bends my normal brain rules. I had looked before at placing a key detail at each stall but I think it will visually make the space seem smaller and it would bug the crap out of me if the cars weren't parked perfected aligned with them! The layout I have shown is the most effecient use of tile. I sort of like the evolution from large 24" square check to fade into 12" check. The 3'x4' grayed out region is where the stair goes into the mudroom. The white space shown in the corner is where the H2o heater and furnace are located. let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Unfortunately because of trademark issues I think it would be difficult to find a shop to make that sign. Unless you "know" someone in the neon business.

Yeah, you can however produce the individual letters to hang on the wall.

michael, thanks - each letter is individual, they are called "channel or pan letters " each one is about 5" deep, formed of aluminum and the neon tubes are fastened to the bottom of the pan. the letters are then mounted to a 7" deep box running the length of the sign, this holds the transformer and all the wiring. this way the sign is all self contained . letters could be placed on the wall without the box but access behind the wall is needed to wire it all together and locate the transformer.

cavallino- the real work in making the sign is forming the channel behind the actual letter front , this gives the 5" depth to the script . cutting the front facing plexiglass. is the least of it.

boise- you are right ,and if they would i am sure it would be pricey. thats why everything is stamped out of plastic these days !

Very cool, didn't notice the 7" box behind hiding the trans and wiring. Very clean...

Your floor looks fantastic! Very elegant. Nicely done.

It is unfortunate that you had to remove the prior floor coating. Unfortunately it happens all the time where owners have their coatings replaced before the homeowner is able to get a return back on their investment.

That coffee table is absolutely gorgeous. Was it made for you or was it bought retail.
