Back to dimensions. I thought this was over a few years ago and just a known fact by now with the current interesting question being "by how much?" Let's get that break-down. I can also say that I am very grateful they did the increase because even though the lowbody looks a little better, I sat in the Cannonball car and absolutely did not fit. It also is impressive how they pulled it off. The bigger cars "seem" different but many cannot place why.
surely fairly easy to either laser scan or cmm a 'lowbody' and later car to find out exactly the extent of the differences?
LOL. Still, they are all tight inside. The first words that I blurted to the owner of a QV was "I feel like a circus monkey" after sitting in his car. Still I couldn't get the thought of owning one out of my head.
where did this guy come from???? Glad I cant see people who cant catch me.....Glad I have an inferiority complex.....Glad it handles like sh.t....Never drove a caddy that shifted this firmly...Life is good
Hi Ken, when in a lowbody it all about seat adjustment, I tilt the seat back to the max then slide the seat back as far as it goes, if I were to sit in a more upright position I would not fit.
Someone want to start a fight it seems. For thiose who want racing and the thrill, may be Indy car races seem more appropriate than anything else these days. Despite everything you say about our mandhood we do love you. We love Ferrari too. Just Countach more. Why dont you get along?
Whatever the Countach did.. It did it better than any corresponding and competing Ferrari, whether it was the Daytona, the 512BB or the Testarossa.. And Ive owned them all too, including more Ferrari's than you Im willing to bet..
You are right. Why not buy a Testarossa with inferior performance, 10,000 made or more ,and half the value. Never mind that it is a massive car and feels every inch of it. I own one, and a Countach and there is no contest. Especially when you consider which car will grow in value and which will flounder. The Testarossa is for sale if anyone wants it.
I'd be surprised if he could get out of his wall garden mental space. Well, I'll stop, since I was asking for stopping and I'm actually continuing !
I've owned my LP400s series 2 for 21 years, during that time I've also owned a TR, BB512i, Diablo and many others that are classified as super cars of the times. I wish I could have afforded to keep them all but the countach is the only car I've kept. It's one of those cars that you can slip onto in a bad mood and slide out a happy camper, it doesn't have the power that some of the rest have but is the best handling car I've owned and 18,000 miles later I still get out with a smile. Call it an extension, call it what you want but I'm sure other owners will agree it's like driving the starship enterprise.
So you've made ten posts in about seven years. None of them mention a Countach. You do however post about having an 11 inch crack in the windshield repaired on the $16,000.00 Ferrari 308 you purchased.................. My pappy always told me "always consider the source"...........'NUFF SAID.
Its always the 308 owners that are the most vocal.... I personally wouldnt drive a 308 if it were given to me.. And boy oh boy.. you know those 308's are full of racing heritage!
Let us not compound ignorance with ignorance. The 308 GTB rally cars do indeed guarantee the model has actual, international championship racing history, to go along with the 308's place as the styling ancestor of the 288GTO and the F40. None of this changes the fact that Mr. Don't Buy A Countach is a troll, we just don't need to be trolls ourselves.
+1 Peter, you were so lucky to be able to attend that! I'm jealous! Wish I lived closer so I could have come! Mike
Your not kidding. It would be nice to be closer to any of the Countach guys. Especially a group. I'm like the lone wolf out here.
I can relate to that. When I stop at the store or a gas station, people just ask, What in the world is that thing But there is the trade off....the roads around here are awesome for driving a car like this. Would have liked to go to that gathering though
Yeah, that was a gathering that should have been more discussed publicly. I think if it had maybe more owners from a far would have planned to drive or trailer thier cars. It would have been pretty easy considering how helpfull everyone was with each other. It's not to say we can't plan something like that in the future.
