I always get this when I'm taking pictures of a local Ferrari. "Nice car!" "Is it yours?" I always wanna say yes lol.

Not a Ferrari, but a Lambo 640, a lady in a minivan pulled up and I heard her say, "No, that's a Ferrari!"

A few weeks back I was parked at a local gas station waiting for my new 328 to cool such that I could check the oil. A young guy leaned out of the passenger window of his friend's car and said with a smile, "Man, you need a mustache to drive that car!"

Texas must not care about losing then. It seemed like Texas fans cared when I was leaving the Cotton Bowl this year, 55-17. And I'm fairly certain UT envy's our 7 Big XII titles. Texas Tech on the other hand, probably doesn't care too much about us this year though... Ugh ;)

My car seems to always get the "How much did that cost?" or "How fast does it go?" questions... haven't had any Mustang questions or crazy off the wall stuff... yet.

Was in Southern Indiana recently in my 458, when I pulled in to a little town and I mean little town. The town was having a car show so I pulled in and parked next to the show car lot. Being a motorhead first and foremost I thought I would see what was there.

Of course none of the 50 car owners in the show had ever seen a 458 in the flesh so they all came over and started milling about the car, taking pictures and asking questions. Again, being a motorhead, I really did want to see the cars in the show so I started to walk toward the first line of cars.

That's when I heard one of the guys start talking about the fact that my 458 had factory NOS. I turned around and walked back to see what he was talking about. They were taking turns looking in the front passenger footwell. That's where I have a Ferrari labeled fire extinguisher. After a couple of minutes of observing their amazament, I informed them that it was a fire extinguisher which is on the option list for the 458, so you can get it factory intalled, although I did not, I installed it myself. They asked why would you need a fire extinguisher, and I said, that it was kind of like the space shuttle, the 458 is so fast that at terminal velocity friction can cause it to catch fire, hence the fire extinguisher.

That seemed to satify everyone and to my surprise no one challenged my explanation. I guess for a car that looks kind of like a spaceship, that was entirely plausable:)

Oh and there was a one owner 57 Chevy that was killer, he just had it restored and for a guy in his 80s the whole process kept him young also. He did most of the work himself with his sons and the car was literally brand new, he had everything including the original sticker and brochure from Chevy. You never know what you will find in a small town:)

We had come back from a Sunday ride in the 575M. letting the car cool for awhile in the driveway before putting it back in the garage. Older gentleman walks up the drive and says, "I really like your weather vane" (copper & brass schooner on the garage roof). BTW, Nice red Lexus you have there. Laughed all the way to the scotch bottle.

This is a repost, but it is funny:

In 2000, I was driving back with my wife from a funeral. We were driving my 355, which I had just bought. Hadn't told her that I'd bought it, it had started out as a loaner from Bad Goldstone from Ferrari of San Francisco. I'd gotten it because they needed parts to get my 348 spider finished.

At any rate after I drove the 355, I decided I wanted it, and wrote him a check. However, I didn't have the balls to tell my wife that I'd bought the car. So, after we'd had it a month, and were driving back from the funeral, she said:

"You bought this f'king car, didn't you?" Had to tell her the truth, and to this day, I haven't lived it down.
