In the garage... My new (and first Ferrari) that is! Just showed up yesterday, and I thought I could avoid the "peak at it every hour" syndrome, but failed miserably. Even caught my wife taking a glance! That bodes well for the future.

Anyway, I'm a new member who has made a couple of posts relating to my search for a car. The information available here on FerrariChat has been a huge help in weighing the pluses and minuses of the different models and providing a realistic view of ownership costs. I settled on a nice 1989 328 GTS that, lucky for me, just happened to be for sale a few miles from home (Boulder, Colorado). I'm looking forward to taking further advantage of this site and the wealth of expertise available here.

Here are a few pix of 328 #80174:

First pic is the car outside Scuderia Rampante in Boulder.

Next is one in it's new home (I need to get that perilous-looking junk out of there...).

Last is what every good Colorado garage needs - a Subaru and a Ferrari.

While the 328 looks spectacular, The Ferrari would look much nicer with a big brother. Have you considered a Testarossa or an F-40??? (LOL) Just kidding!! Congrats on the new 328 and may you have years and miles of trouble free running!!!!

Side note: Do you know that Subaru backwards says ...U...AR...A...BUS ?? :)

Thanks for the welcome msgs. I want to do some road trips with the 328, so am hoping that it's as (relatively) reliable as its reputation suggests.

As for the garage-mate, I've got to have at least one car that can get out of the driveway in the winter... Although I'd be happy to test an F40 with 4 snow tires if someone will loan me one! I don't think I'd get very far up the hill, but the attempt would sure be pretty spectacular.

Thanks! Just did a nice 2.5-hour drive on 2-lanes the through the Front Range mountains today. First extended drive I've taken the 328 on. Beautiful day, and the car ran great. One thing I noticed is that slow vehicles (campers, etc.) would move over to let me by. That's a rarity, so I attribute it to folks having some appreciation for the Ferrari. Or perhaps just wanting to see it as we went past. Either way, I appreciated the courtesy.

We typically get quite a few days during winter with clear, dry roads and temperatures that aren't too cold, so I'll be taking the 328 out on as many of those days as I can.

Thanks for the welcomes and comments!

Yep, it's getting driven. I've put 300 miles on it over the last month and a half, and I've been out of town for 3 of those weeks... It's a total blast to drive, the ride is surprisingly comfortable, and the more I drive it, the happier the car seems to be.
