...cruising the east shore of Lake Tahoe today and I found myself behind this yellow Pcar, started looking at it and wondering wtf? I am kinda out of the loop on newer model Porsche's, is this the new 911? Sorry about the photo, taken through my dirty windshield and cropped 1,000 times so it is not the size of a pin :/

this car then swung off the road and joined two cloaked black Boxsters - whole thing was kinda odd? oh yeah, had Georgia plates

    It's the new 911.

They released it officially a while ago. More pics and info is on the Porsche site and we had a thread here back when the first photos came out. Here is one of the F-Chat threads about it: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=334215

Looking at this picture reminds me how much I think yellow is the worst color on any car.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you spot these two boxsters then?

They were two boxsters with 'stuff' attached to the bodies to disguise them? Still obviously boxsters.

Cool spot! Georgia plates are because Porsche NA is headquartered there.

Well, maybe...but, I think the 991 is the best looking 911 yet. The color is Speed Yellow, which is essentially Gallo Modena.

I totally agree. I've had 996 and a 997 and 360 and I thought, I would never go back to 911 but this car looks amazing to me. I can't wait to see it up-close.

Looks like an Audi ... oops.

996 was the best to me. I actually like the non-oval headlights.

I don't think this is even a Porsche...it looks more like a new Aston Martin. :D
