Mate, might be able to get a better answer, know a guy who may have all the chasis numbers vs models but may take a day or so. I know he has all UK spec car chasis numbers. Will get back to you.

BHP wise just took that from a few different sources that said the ss got 312 origionally due to different exhaust but quoted 320 for US spec cars built in '94. As I said, internet so who knows.

Lastly. Did read that just forgot. Regarding the differences, I spoke to several specialists over here in the UK and all said the important thing was to get the battery up front as that made the biggest difference both round the bends and less nose lift under acceleration, both of which would help lap times a tad. All the other changes would help obviously but they all said this was the biggest improvement. I think many of the suspension changes were made at the same time, (Nov '91 on the production line I think) so those would help these later cars a bit.

Do you want me to dig for all the model types vs chasis numbers? No promises and could take a couple of days.

No thanks, I was just interested in the perceived driving differences of the 3 models, suspect the question is for those in markets other than the US

I was told that my 1994 348TS SS is a Series II and is #6 of 15 built. There is no number plate on the door jamb like the US Series I #__ of 100. Any idea on how to confirm my info. My car is Serial #98737.

I can ask a guy I know, though not sure if he has the chasis numbers of the US cars. Will get back to you but might take a day or two. No promises...

I just noticed from the list above that there are 16 cars listed. Are there 15 or 16 Series II?
    Hmmmm

I think thats why the guy believes 98731 is a Challange car rather than an SS.

He said he was unsure about the question marks but was slowly putting them all in place.
