Apologies if this is a dumb question.

When I was very young my Dad owned a RHD UK supplied 365GT4 2+2 his second Ferrari. My vague recollections of the car was that it had four instead of six taillights and the 400 chin spoiler. Is that familiarity with the shape of the 400 over the years distorting my memory of the car or were some 365s sold with the updated styling?

certainly true with regard to the tail lamps...and likely true with the front spoiler.

why couldn't my Dad have been a Ferrari 'dad' ?

LOL he still is. My Daytona was his first one of what has been and is many.

    Thanks for the reply.

Fair question. I have a 74' and wonder if it originally had mousehair or if later models went to leather on dash and console. If someone converted it to the leather they did a nice job. Anyone know when Ferrari quit the mousehair?

Possibly the changeover occurred around the time of the 1973 oil embargo when the price of cheese also skyrocketed and Ferrari decided to sell off its mouse ranching operation that had been used to supply the mousehair for dashes on Daytonas, C/4s and the 365 GT4 2+2.

    Or possibly not! :)

Hey, my GT4 was built in '75 and has a leather dash, so John just might be onto something...
