    hi,

who can help us reconstructing the history of this beautiful 250Gt Boano, delivered new by Jacques Swaters to his Belgian client ?

car was in a garage for more then 30 years !

body was grigio with blue interior, later body became blue ...

belgian license plate was JE 239

first owner : ? Leon Durieux
    then
    Jacques de Biolley
    Jacques Nellens (director casino Knokke)
    Maria Seghers
    Bob Malmberg

all pictures, or info about the history about this car are welcome !

I also put all the pictures on facebook, under my group 'ecurie francorchamps'

    Thanks

First owner Léon Durieux was from Liège, Belgium.
I show name of 5th owner as Bob Malmley.
Car since several years at Schouwenburg's Strada e Corsa shop in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
According to the factory build sheets the internal engine block number is "606".
The photo here shows another engine which was re-stamped to 0615 GT but with an incorrect internal engine block number "0138 C" (from chassis #0795 GT).

Original engine of 0615GT wasn't it on 750 Sport 0470MD around 1989, Mike Sheehan?

Mr. Prunet, the original engine 0615 GT was installed in 0470 MD in September 1979 by DK Engineering in England. In 1993 a new 3-liter 750 Monza-type engine was built by Hall & Fowler in England and installed in 0470 MD, that engine was numbered „1.452“, and fitted with Weber 58 DCOA carburetors.

Even if this car has been "known", what a cool find.

The pictures of cars like this is what amazes me. Please keep them coming.

Seeing cars in a condition like this is sad, but also sheads light on how they should have looked new - the deteriation.

Do you have any photo's from the barnfind period to the final display period? It would be interesting to see the restoration of this car.

It appears 0615 has had a nudge in the nose and something more in the rear fender.

What is the story with the history and where the car stands today?

No I don't, sorry. Next time I see him I'll ask if he has restoration pictures of this particular car.

Yes, this is way cool! One moment, it has it's bumpers, the next, they are gone! Wonder what happened to them? I am still looking for Boano bumpers, both front & rear.
