575 for 110k.... Surely you meant 310k right.... Cos I was told the grey one transacted at that price.. I got a really good offer for it but I hesitated Hmmmm..... Same price as 599 huh? I'd choose the horse everyday and twice on Sunday
I was directing my friend to that car which was attractively priced compared to the OMV. Sales guy told me it was not easy selling that car as many wanted red rather than the understated grey. There is always something about red and F cars esp if it is your first. I think that 575 is a lot of car for that price it sold.
Anyone here owned a BMW X5 3.0 before? I am looking towards getting a used one 2008 model to be exact. Any comments on the car and what to look out for when inspecting it?
Tell me about it bro. But, there's some magical about the handling of a GT3RS & a Big red V12 Ferrari is not going to sit well with mum 110K is the body price for export. That Titanio? 575 went to our buddy I love that color but the transfer fee & maintenance on a 5yrs old V12 will eat your enthusiasm. Would love to see it being Coed so that twenty years down the road & we'll still see a classic front engine V12 Ferrari rumbling away with Larini, u hear me bro?
The body price an early Gallardo coupe is about S$130-150K now. F360s have dropped below S$100K & 996turbos are no more than S$50K. Worst lot are the AMG & M cars, they become $8-15K @ about 10yrs old. I'm talking about true value as this is what dealers will pay for the body + a few ks when they get registered elsewhere. Imagine the money we pay when it's new. Was looking @ Countach 1-2years ago. You can get a nice 5000QV for GBP50K then & it's double that by now. Classic Aston Martins have gone up the most in recent auctions.
Bro, the new cars (made is such great numbers) will almost never match the older ones (rare by today's standards) which hark back to a more romantic era (yah, talking about stiff 2nd gears, non existent A/C, poor electrics etc) with looks to match. Just look at a 512BB today! Still makes me drool the very same way when I was a kid, much more so than even my very own topless red head. So I think you are much better off with that black devil than some new toy which probably won't excite you that much anyway. BTW - Can those cars you mentioned still be exported? I was under the impression that the export markets have died and we became the importers instead.
Oui, when are you getting that 512?! Would you want to share that 365BBgt4 with me? I'll keep it in London & you can have the keys when you're there. The last time I been there was late 90s We're still exporting cars but not to UK & we're only importing cars that are less than 3yrs old. The high COE is changing the scene somewhat now. I regretted that I didn't buy a used import M3 for just S$190K last year when coe was $25K, Munich will sell you one now for low S$400K Meanwhile, my little devil is sitting with good companies.... I think the total production of 512BB is about 1000? While the 365 has just 360+/- made. The dealbreaker is we don't want to reg. it here but who cares when you have far better roads & scenery in Europe? Not to mention the cheap experts in maintenance, low road tax & tips worthy insurance You'll have a nightmare trying to insure a two-tone plate classic Ferrari here. Oh saw your dad in ST last month, way to go man! I want to be like him when I'm 70 ^^
Bro, how much is UK asking for the 365? Last I asked was very pricey despite the situation in Europe, I think well over $100k pounds. 512s were in the range of 80k for a good running car to early 100s for pristine. You are right that 365s were built in the low hundreds while the 512 was 1007 if I recall correctly. We shall meet for breakfast and talk about these cars soon... say 12th Nov? I'll be doing a short flt and we can meet in the evening when I land. Yep, I usually drive my babe to the airport for these day flights!
Is she gone yet? I shall miss seeing that matt red topless girl, always distinctive and I always know who I am seeing w/o looking at the no. plate.
Initially, I was hoping that it would be red too.. But the 575 actually looks good in grey, understated but in a grand sort of way. In fact, a lot of 575s I happened to see online were not red. And yes, really a lot of car for that price!
Agree. But if you want a 512, you really gotta bring it in and have it sit around for 237 days a year. I guess what Jon is saying is that while it's still here, keep it here so that cars as rare as these can be enjoyed for the full 365 days!
