I don't want to offend you but I'm going to assume that you know what the STOP button function is. If you do, I would take it in to a shop and have them look at it.

Make sure your STOP button is in the out position. The design of this part of the system is confusing.

Putting STOP into the in position stops the climate control from working = no cooling and no heating.

Leaving STOP in the out position allows the climate control to work properly and apply heat and cold. Leave it in this position as it takes a minute or so for everything to work properly. In other words, if you keep pressing it in and out quickly you won't get an accurate feeling for how it works.

Is the a/c compressor on when the stop button is in out position?
I hardly use the climate control because I always leave the windows down to hear the sound.

It's possible you have no coolant in the "radiator" of the heating system. This could be due to a blockage, low level of coolant, an air lock etc.

How is your coolant level? Does the temperature gauge work ok and give realistic readings? Is the fan on the ventilation system coming on good and strong?

That's the one that I would go for. It can be too low to run the heater but still show a temp on the guage.

The stop button is on/off for the climate control. If it is off there is no heat or cooling.

that's right you must run the heater at max during bleeding procedure.

    Yes:

Button out = climate control ON
Button in = climate control STOPPED

    It's a confusing system I think.

is the AC compressor always active even in cold weather? or does it kick in only above certain temperature?

Not "always" active in cold but it will cycle to assist in condensation clearance.

Don't feel stupid. I found out about the stop button by accident. It took me forever to remember how to open the trunk just to get the owners manual out to read about the stupid button. Glad it all worked out.

All This time I thought it was just to shut off the A/c compressor only. Learn something new everyday. Cheers!

Anyone know how to make sure no accessory fans or climate control features are on at all? I know the STOP button stops heat and A/C, but usually I even want to stop the blower. I have been putting the fan speed control on the right to the "fan" symbol since the I, II, III, IV symbols clearly mean the fan is on and running low to high speed. But I sometimes still feel like air is blowing through the system even when I put it on the "fan" symbol. Anything else to make sure no fans are running?
