35+ years I watch, and they couldn't get 1 bloody strike. :( :(
I guess this doesn't truly impact my life in any material way, but still . . . bleah. It's actually much easier to stomach the team being bad all season than to come so close and miss.
999/1 odds, folks. http://www.stltoday.com/business/local/article_f2616efa-fe7a-11e0-b131-0019bb30f31a.html
Now I can take the Red sheets off the bed. I'll bet it is. Sodamnclose it's not funny. On the upside, these last 2 games redefined "Underdog" - that, you gotta love, no matter what.
a certain, ahhhh banned member from STL tried to talk me into making a WS prop bet on the Cards in Vegas back in May. (odds weren't 999:1, but over 500:1) shoulda listened cold comfort: he didn't make the bet either

What a series! I'm disappointed in my rangers, but what can you do? We were so close and that's what kills me. Last year it wasn't so bad because I was happy that we made it that far and it was clear from the start who would win. This year was so close the entire time and I thought we had it. Then it was ripped away at the last second. O well. Moving on. Good job Cardinals. Enjoy your victory. After all the comebacks, you deserve it.
