    Never mind.

The series champion will be decided by the total season points minus the 'low score drop from each segment', not the mythical 'playoffs'.

So what's the general consensus on the upcoming crapshoot we call Talladega?

A Childress car, or a Hendrick car? Or a Roush or Gibbs car? Or??

pick a name from a hat?

it seems to me the Hendrick cars have been doing better at 'Dega than Daytona lately.

And such is the crapshoot we call Talladega. And Daytona.

I think they need to get rid of restrictor plates but limit the gearing (to keep speeds down - IF that is the issue).

For Talladega, all you can do is figure out who has a LEGITIMATE shot at the championship, and who is not in contention for it (but will push the contender to a win).

I really figured it would be a Hendrick show, or possibly a Harvick show, but few others.

Man, I really feel sorry for that Joe Nemechek guys, they NEVER seem to get that car right, seems he always drops out within 10 laps. He must go through one set of tires a month.... hey, wait a minute!

What is sad is he probably COULD compete (for a top-25 spot) - but a wreck or blown engine would cost him too much. Still, it's a total joke they allow him to be so blatant about it.

Joe is 64th in points - and has earned 2.6 million dollars

His other driver - Reagan Smith - is 26th in points and has made 4.1 million dollars - but has crashed a few cars.

Anyone else think Brian Vickers should be disqualified from the remaining races this season?

it will be interesting to see how NASCAR handles this one, especially the contact with Kenseth.

I was 5/7/28/33 or something like that.

Any thoughts on a good way to keep drivers from speeding on pit road? There are a lot of guys doing it, and a lot of it is just plain dangerous. I was riding along different driver's during pit stops in the race yesterday, they cross the timing line before their pit stall, floor it, then slam on the brakes to get into their stall. Ridiculous. Then you have the guys with their stall right at a timing line, come out flying with no regard to pit speed rules.

You can fix the second, by if there was a parallel car that was at the limit, and they passed it, obviously the faster car was speeding. To use an easy example in recent memory where it was pretty obvious to anyone on TV, would be Brad K at Bristol. If the car's beside him were going the limit, and he shot past several cars - DUH, speeding ticket in order.

Very often, going into the stall and speeding, is harder to pick up on. The only two I watched was JJ and Kyle B. - and they both did it.

Radar is as far as I know, not really accurate enough for such a situation. I'd like to see it go away, any ideas?

I'd like to point out that I'm still leading the chase! :D Happy Halloween everyone.

Whisky I realize we're not determining the outcome of this season on the chase. ;)

    Eliminate the speed limit.
If you cannot enforce it then it should not be in the rules.

Tell them they have to be in first gear when they enter the pits, and until they exit pit road. :)

Yeah, but like Carl Edwards: not for long!!!

Next season we will do it where each person can battle for each segment, and for the overall, but unlike this season, we will all discuss it and agree on it before the season starts.
