Juan- Affirmative. Plug and play. Here is the part number. The 360/CS has the same system as the 575M. The kit includes a new Alarm ECU, immobilizer, three fobs matched to the ECU, and the new PIN. $1866. Incidentally, we know all the answers to that old quote of mine you posted, which must be at least 2 years old. You will have to prove ownership before anyone will sell a kit or set of fobs to you. First, thanks to all who have contributed to this thread, it is long but full of information, particularly for me, a new 550 owner, and this is my first post! At purchase, I have been given two black Fobs, 1 red fob and a PiN code on a small slip of secure pin paper similar to what you receive with credit card PiN codes. However, only one of the black Fobs actually activates/de-activates the alarm system of the car. The others have no affect. Could it be that the two none functioning Fobs ( 1 red, 1 black) are not original ..... And like most common of posts here, I have only one functioning black fob..... Am I in a some what better position because I appear to have the original PiN code..... If it still is the one in use in the ECU? Lastly, why is the simple fix not to just remove the entire system and replace it with a totally modern new system?.
Have you ruled out the two fobs having poor contacts and/or flat batteries ie do they light up ? If that does not work your next cheapest solution is to get them cloned to the working unit
Thanks for reply, Yes, I replaced batteries and checked the terminals, the led in the non functioning Fobs light up strongly..... Still no go!, I am beginning to think the fobs were not part of the original set..... They were just so the car looked complete....... I am thinking of having a new aftermarket alarm installed , anyone have any reasons not to do that ? Would seem to solve all the issues?.?
You can have one installed but it doesn't solve the immobilizer issue. That is part of the ECU so until the appropriate pieces of code are issolated and repalced in your ECU ....
It is possible for perfectly good fobs to become un-synhronised with the system. I've seen Taz post the re-sync routine a couple of times but can never remember it when needed. I think it goes something like Press the button on the non functioning fob several times - on, off, on, off, on, off, on, off etc. I think it's like three, four or five presses over a 10 second interval. OR Maybe it was press and hold it for several seconds. Try the above and if it doesn't work out you'll probably find someone will post up the answer in the meantime. Best of luck.
I know the Parts or Misc. adds is the place to advertise this, but I thought this is more specific. I have an extra Black Fob from my 360 , $75 shipped . PM me if interested
I actually got my slave fob to work after two years of only the master fob working by following some of the suggestions listed above. By pressing the fob off/on in rapid fire mode for around 20 seconds followed by one click and that beautiful beep sounded! I now have a master and slave fob operational, and you have no idea how elated i am. Thanks F-chat members for your help!
Now that remote-superstore has pretty much run out of supply, I'm looking at putting together a deal with a Ferrari dealer to buy a bunch of remotes. Anyone want to get in and buy one or two? I figure the more we order the better price I can get. I've already spoken with a dealer that's willing to work with me.
Count me in for one please. But I think my car is Euro specs not sure of the frequency. I also need cloning.
This past July, I was in Paris (France) for two weeks from my home in Florida. I mailed my only remote to Eric, with two un-programed remotes. I was, of course worried, since if the remote(s) were "lost." my car back in the states was "dead." Eric was kind enough to re-program the two "new" remotes, and return them to me at my hotel. As soon as I returned to the USA, I "mated" them to my 456, and now I have three (3) working remotes. I reccomend Eric to anyone ! Thank you so much Eric ! Scott
OK, so I want to extend a huge thanks to Eric and also to Gobble (Mark) who has just cloned my only red remote, with a few tense moments during transit and more when I recieved them back and tried to mate them to my 355, I finally now have 3 functioning remotes and keys! One thing I would like to add that my shipper came up with is that you can insure the remote for a value up to $2000 so if it is lost in transit, you will have enought to take your car to Ferarri and have new remotes made.
How does this happen? Someone is selling 9 USED Ferrari remotes? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RED-FACTORY-FERRARI-360-REMOTE-FOB-MINT-/360360015830?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item53e72177d6
You missed the best part : 'I am certain it is a very easy thing to have your local dealer to do and can be programmed free as a courtesy.'
I'm trying to put together a deal with a Porsche dealer in quantity and might be able to offer FOBs for $200 including my programming to match your car. It's the same Bosch part as Ferrari, but says Porsche on the FOB. I'd like to gauge interest before putting out a bunch of money to buy them. If you're interested, please send me a PM.
