I just ordered my Cali for March 2012 delivery. I now have second thoughts about the colour. I ordered mirabeau blue with sabbia interior. On the ferrari configurator, the colour looks a purple (and not nice) but pictures on the web look like it is a rich blue. Also, the painted, square-foot sized sample at the dealership looks great. I am now questioning whether the blue is too light and if I should switch to the tdf blue. For the US market, I think there is also a California blue which is definitely too light for my taste.
Any thoughts and feedback would be much appreciated.

Had the same tough time you did. Went with TDF blue. Saw a couple examples in real life. Would encourage you to do the same. Do a YouTube search for Ferrari California tour de France.

FWIW, I think Blu Mirabeau is a gorgeous color and a good choice for the Cali.

Here is a 599 photo shoot by a car detailer in the "Blu Mirabeau" color.
It shows the color in bright sunlight and indoors.

I have a tdf blue 550 and like the color a lot.

Both are good metallic blue colors. TDF Blue is a darker shade of blue.

Also, here's a short youtube video of a 430 spider in Blu Mirabeau. Only shows the car in bright sunlight though.

I don't have a tdf colored car but all ferraris look great in it. I think most would agree with me. You never hear anybody say..." tdf doesn't work well on that car". If your having second thoughts switch it. But it's all up to you. The choices we have to make!

Don't know where you are located but Auto Gallery in So Cal has a light metallic blu with Creme interior. Maybe its on the web site. You can call and ask the salesperson to email
    some pics.s

That is a very valid point. Although I may be biased as my 355 IS TdF...I actually haven't ever looked at any model in TdF and thought it wasn't hot! Some Ferraris don't look good in certain colors as the colors can hide or emphasize contours and lines within the body. :)

i think blu mirabeau looks good on the california. sabbia would be much too light for me and very hard to keep clean when driving top down. i would go for cuoio with mirabeau.

Did you make sure they will deliver you the new upgraded California with increased power and handling etc? and have they given you price of the new updated Ferrari?

Exactly. And your car is TDF on Cuoio! What a combo!

sigh... it appears that those of you in Europe are getting confirmation for the new California, while we poor souls in the U.S. can only wait with bated breath...

Do they offer pozzi blue for the californias? that could be another option if they do

I agree that Mirabeau looks nice and that Sabbia would also be too light for me because it would show wear/dirt more quickly. Fiver, if you don't like the contrast between Mirabeau and Cuoio, you could consider Beige.

Yes. I saw a Pozzi/Cuoio California delivered when I ordered my car and thought it looked brilliant, but shied away from it since its a very dark color and would be hard to keep looking its best. In the spectrum of "lightness" of the blues I recall its Azzuro, Mirabeau, TDF, Pozzi.

So I changed the colour to TDF, I think it is a richer looking colour. I appreciate all your feedback. Now the waiting begins!! March can't be too far away :)

I live in London. Will be picking it up from the factory in March. Already planned my trip over the Swiss alps, onto the German autobahn and back to lovely London :)

I kept my interior, Daytona style seats, sabbia with blue inserts and blue stitching. Some of you have suggested sabbia might be too delicate. However, I like the contrast to the TDF blue. If I have to clean it a bit more often, so be it.
