Looking for information on GTE s/n 2969

Hello,

We are beginning a ground up restoration on 250 GTE s/n 2969 and I am just wondering if anyone out there may have some additional information on the history of this car. I know it was restored to some extent in the early 90s but beyond that I really don't know much.

Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

I think there is an unspoken ediquitte to chat sites such as this. So when someone writes and almost only asks for information but never shares any of their own it's only natural for people to feel used.

 

I owned 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE #2969 in 1988/1989 and traded it to Lyle Tanner about that time. It had a Chevrolet Engine and Trans and a Ford Rear End.
