It's ugly. It's the end of Ferrari as we know it. It's not fast. It doesn't corner well. Its build quality is poor. It's not much fun to drive. It's not driver-friendly. It's prone to breakdowns. It's uncomfortable. It's impractical. No, wait. All of those statements are untrue. . . except one.
Have done over 4,000 kms in the car and I continue to marvel at what has been accomplished. It is a truly exceptional Ferrari. As to whether you like the looks or not, that is subjective! It is interesting to note, though, that the FF stops people and especially children in their tracks and there is a "wow" type Ferrari reaction. Am currently at the Finali Mondiali and amid so many other Ferrari road cars, the FF stands out with a certain majesty. Those who love to hate will simply never know the real joy that the FF offers.
I'm a troll? I think it's way too ugly to own and so did my wife who bought a Bentley CGT instead. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are we still talking about this? Take the FF for what it is - a luxurious, fast, exotic cruiser with enough room for four adults and their luggage. Every single motoring publication has unanimously praised the cars performance, handling, practicality...well, pretty much everything bar the looks. I understand that looks are subjective and everyone has different tastes but I can't understand why some people here are up in arms about the cars design, telling us that the FF isn't a real Ferrari because it's ugly? The FF is replacing the 612 Scaglietti - a goofy, awkward, misproportioned car that very few enthusiasts ever grew to love. The FF is not a beautiful car IMO, but its looks are arresting. Darker, more understated colors like black, grey and blue suit the design perfectly. If I was in the market for a high-performance grand tourer that could seat four comfortably then the FF would be the best option. If all I cared about was how good it looks then I'd probably go for a Rapide.
Finally! Something we don't agree on Next time Meg channels Dr. Doolittle, i have a couple of horses I'd like her to have a word with
I like the FF. If I had the cash Id buy one. Its like a modern day Porsche 928, a practical, luxurious GT that you can drive anywhere on a daily basis. Is it the best looking car ? Nah, but I think its good looking considering everything it needs to accomplish.
It would depend on my financial situation. But if I were worth 8 figures then yes...I would rather spend the extra $100k than drive the gawdugly Panamera.
I've seen a couple in real life and it looks better than the pics I've seen on the net, but I'm still ambivalent though. Is it a good looking shooting brake car? yes, I'd rather take the FF over the Rapide and the horrid Panamera. Is it a good looking Ferrari? IMO not really, considering the fact that Ferrari made great looking cars such as the F40. 288 GTO, 550/575, etc. All in all, I really won't think over it much as I won't own one in this life. I'll just snap some pics of it and share it whenever the opportunity presents itself. I've seen a Blueish-Green one with Abu Dhabi plates behind me a few weeks back which looked AWESOME but when I wanted to take a good pic of it the driver outslowed me
I don't know why this thread even exists. I think it's pretty simple. If you like shooting breaks, then you will probably like the FF. If you do not like shooting breaks, then you will not like the FF. Mystery solved.
The FF is what it is. Personally, I like it. I don't love it but I certainly understand it. 4 passenger GT cars are not everyone's cup of tea. If you need space for luggage, the shooting brake makes the most sense. What's wrong with form following function?
I really like the looks, but I LOVE the car. Two words: everyday Ferrari. It ticks all the Ferrari boxes, all the supercar boxes, and I can drive it to Buffalo in January if I want to. And I will. I drove the Maserati Quattroporte this summer and was surprisingly disappointed. I like my Mercedes CLS better. Ditto the Panamera. Uglier, more cramped and (unless you go for the turbo,) slower than the CLS. I wouldn't trade my CLS heads-up for one, at any price. I can't speak to the Rapide: haven't driven one. I'm lukewarm on the looks. As for the Bentley Continental, its a huge car that drives and feels like a huge car to me. Yes, it has big, stonking power, but it just doesn't do it for me. To be fair, I haven driven the latest and greatest one. You are all welcome to despise the FF, if you so choose: I ain't selling you mine when it arrives, anyway
