And like Daniel, I too have been getting emails from this joke for a long time. Always the same "I can make you a bunch if you give me control of your money" Ponzi scam sounding rubbish.

It appears that Kevvie had the Venerated "Certificate in Retirement Planning" from Wharton as it was formulated for AXA employees and takes a whopping 50 hours!

My sympathies are with you.

For the record Karl did a big service on my 1972 Dino 246GT a few months ago. The bill was much, much bigger than Kevvie's measly $900. I feel I got great service and great value for my money.


Of course all of this is simply my opinion and is not meant to be presented as facts!

See Rob, if you closed the thread you would have missed all this fun, i.e. Kevin representing himself as Wharton educated...while true, it's certainly misleading.

I am pleased that many on FChat also cross the borders into other vehicle makes, i.e. Porsche, Range Rover, etc...Kevin's threat to take his allegations to the other clubs has actually served to backfire...for once other Clubs' members recognize Kevin's misleading statements about himself, hopefully they will monitor their investments (if any with Kevin) a little closer.

AND...I think this has all been the point of Karl's starting this thread to begin with. It wasn't to solicit support for his shop, but to warn the rest of us. Had we all taken Kevin's threats to sue seriously and let this go, none of this would have been uncovered...which is EXACTLY what Kevin didn't want to happen. He wasn't trying to hurt Karl's reputation...he was trying to salvage his own. What Kevin failed to predict, however, was loyalty. FChat isn't just a group of car guys...us car guys don't only run around in car circles, we run around in professional and other social circles. Kevin didn't just ostracize Ferrari owners/enthusiasts...he ostracized himself from the professions we owners/enthusiasts associate with, and our spouses/significant others' professions, acquaintances, etc. It reaches much farther than the confines of the FChat website.

Unless an apology to Karl and the community were to happen, I don't see how Kevin could show himself in any Ferrari Club event...sponsored or not. If I were to host an event, I would NEVER accept his sponsorship...I would rather NOT hold the event.

Poor form Kevin, very poor form.

 

Based on how many are on this forum, I can't imagine this clown will show himself anywhere near a Ferrari meet again. His YouTube Posts have exposed him to an embarassing level, this guy should crawl under a rock.

Every time I read this, it makes me laugh...

It has come to "our" attention...who is "our"?

"Private matter, between us and your firm" ... So it remains private FOREVER and EVER. Kevin NEVER has to pay, NEVER has to communicate with Karl about the issue...but it MUST remain PRIVATE FOREVER!!! (insert evil laugh here).

If Kevin kept it private by 1) paying his debt; or 2) Communicating about his issues...this WOULD have remained private. But not paying and not communicating? And then selling the car and thinking payment is no longer necessary?

The more I think about this, if I were Karl, I would go to Small Claims Court and present this matter. I think the truth would prevail over whatever it is that Kevin claimed and the court would require Kevin to pay. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know...if a court orders payment but Kevin continued to refuse, would the Insurance Board be notified? Or any other agency that licenses people like Kevin?

Just wondering.

 

I believe the "our" reference denotes other at his firm. It appears, and I may be wrong, that he is "The Managing Partner" and is also "The Only Partner".

But that would sound two-bit to be that small, so the plural helps promote a more developed image.

So let me see if I understand this.....
We're talking about somewhere around $900 left unpaid on an invoice right? We've been threatened that we're going to be sued since we are just part of the community. Karl has not produced any creepy videos with the fake smiles like Kevin. And lastly there is a party being thrown by Kevin and not all of us were invited.
Have I got things right?

There are 3 things to consider here:
If we all pitch in $10 it would take 90 of us to make Karl whole again. This does not seem to be to difficult to get done. Now once Karl has been paid he will of course give each of us a reciept for the money we send him.
#1 Karl is whole again, the $900 will hopefully get his shop out of the financial mess Kevin seems to believe it is in and we as the community have done a good thing.

#2 We should of course all attempt to give copies of the paid invoices to Kevin since afterall he might want to send those service records to the new owner of the car. We all know how importent those documents are. Trying to get all of us to give him their copies might be difficult, but I have the solution. (see item #3) Since we would have paid the $900 it would no longer be a private matter between Karl and Kevin. Surely we couldn't get in trouble by talking about something WE did. In addition Kevin needs to know we all care about him and since we were so kind and generous by paying the $900 maybe he will drop the lawsuit.

#3 There is a party being thrown and a scheme (oops! sorry) uh, program being talked about at the party which might help our finances. Kevin with his Wharton School seminar education, yadda yadda, will definetly have our interests at heart since we were so kind to him first with the $900.
Therefore one can only conclude that the best thing to do would be for all of us to arrive at the party with copies of Kevin's paid invoice, wait until all of the guests have arrived, and then show how sincere we are by presenting Kevin with his copies in front of his guests and then asking him if he'd be so kind as to not sue us.

Anyone up for a party?

I am really offended by this post...no, not because it's rude...but because it's hilarious. And funnier than anything I posted. That really pisses me off. After all this time of me posting things to keep this thing going, her comes DSTACY outa nowhere to crack my s#!$ up!!!! But if you look at Post #40, I already suggesting helping with the bill, although with $0.50...not $10. So now I look like the cheapskate! ... which I am, I just didn't want to look like it!
