Hello Joe, can you tell me if the car is for sale and provide additional information ie service history, photos and asking price?

I own a small pre-owned Porsche business here in Ontario.

    Regards,
    Mike

the early 3.o litre cars are so under valued for what they are.

Indeed. Purity of purpose, the original concept, just 4 speeds, everything you need and nothing you dont.

try finding one without a sunroof, foglamps, headlamp washer, power windows, power mirrors or console in the usa.... i would have taken an extra gear in place of those any day.

there is plenty of stuff 930 came with that you dont need. 930 were heavily laden with luxury junk that weighed it up especially in the later intercooler models

they are addicting to drive and the earliest sans the chunky wing ones are the prettiest imo

PS, i hope the blue car is saved without turning it to some sort of pseudo RSR wannabe. there are enough of those out there already

A few years ago, a seller on Mobile.de had a car with no sunroof, leather and a.c. !!!

Most of the cars imported into the USA, as new cars, were loaded up with soft luxury accessories.

Over-production is the only reason, a perfect car is not priced in-line, with the typical Countach and Boxer models, of the day.

In addition, the model does require significant mechanical upkeep.

A factory 'unmodified' M506 factory slantnose car, is under-valued when you take into account the low production#'s, performance, and curb appeal. The unmodified special wishes cars, are quite scarce.

    ________

    Joe,

Nice looking car with a difficult to find livery.

That is an amazing color Joe. What year was McQueen's car? It looks like a 1975.

    Slate grey.

I believe it is a 1975, with passenger door mirror added later and 3.3 liter larger wheels mounted.
