Wow it's a big jump from the GTC to the RS, but ultimately I think it is a rewarding one. It is probably one of the ultimate driver's car out there now.

Perfect colour combi for the RS, bro. I absolutely love it!

Congrats on the new ride and as always, drive her in good health :)

That's true! The problem with modern cars, look & think about it. Where's the dash & your sitting position now? Alright, the argument for safety blah, blah, blah but how many deaths are there in the old-day-cars where you can see & steer where you're going for eg. Caterham? You could probably see the road between the wheels & that stopline, now, you guess & at speed with monstrous torque, you have little time to guess.

The Bentley cocoons you (pamper) in the cabin with small windows & high waistline. You can't see kerbs & the car is wide =?

I drove the old school Bentley & Royce before but they are pretty normal.

Was at the Infiniti showroom in KL & they have this SUV with four cameras? two each under the wing mirrors, one front & one rear. The salesman said it's the floating effect, the cameras, when activated shows what's around you.....cool idea. Something I always wanted to fit on the passenger's wing mirror of the Murcie, helps when you join a main traffic.

Are you at a full stop when you shift to reverse or is the car still moving slightly?

Only above 2k then it would not enter or is it a very stiff engagement? Can you force the shift (although I don't like doing that) above 2k? And at idle, can the stick go through all the gears?

If no, it is a confirmed alignment issue which can be fixed quite easily if the tech knows what he is doing.

I had that issue with reverse after a gasket replacement which knocked the alignment out. Impossible to engage reverse.

Full stop. It cranks a bit and then goes in. But once in, its all good. The grinding sound makes me shiver every time I hear it. It hurts the heart.

Sounds like it bro! I had reverse problem as well & occasional crunching for 1st gear then asked everybody I know including Ben but all gave me a "maybe" this & that. Durghhh

Btw, the stick won't even enter 5th @ speed. Felt like something blocked it but no problem when stationary. Anyway, I stopped driving it altogether& was offered to trade it for an Arnage R. Hmmmm

Sounds a lot like the linkage running under the car is misaligned. Hey, lots of the so called expert techs actually hand the car over to you with these issues and call it normal. Guess who my white knight is all these years!

Will ask my sifu and get back to you. It was explained to me once, not an uncommon problem.

Dragging clutch is the verdict. Not quite dis-engaged even when you depress the pedal hence the grating of gears.
