I wish Ferrari would go back to the low & wide school of design. Not see-en that happening anytime some. It's probably my outmoded way to thinking! Don't even get me started about Maserati! Ciao, George
Technically this is possible. Lotus has shown us the way with the Elise. The press is speculating VW(Bluesport), Audi(R5) and Porsche(550 Spyder) will be coming out with a smaller more pure sports car below the Boxster, just a bit larger than the Elise. If you compare the size of the Elise to the Dino by doing a package overlay they are very close. The Dino is actually an easier car to get in and out of due to the lower sills. I would love to see Ferrari bring back a smaller, more pure V6 mid-engined Dino about the size of the original. Keep it simple and pure like the Elise, a price about $120K/$130K, must be as gorgeous as the original and of course, must have the magic sound!! Watch the new customers come! It would breathe new life into Ferrari and bring a younger more enthusiastic non "boutique" customer. It would also help to grow "Ferrari" with a "Dino" and not sacrifice the "Ferrari" brand. Freeman P.S. On the 16" Campys, centers look the same as the 14". Maybe someone bought the 14" alloy repros, cut out the centers and welded them to 16" rims?
it might not be! at first i thought i saw an outline of the drivers sunshade?, but looking closer it might be that "tab" of the top section?, not sure...... doug

Saratoga Tops, legendary ....but NLA. Made them for the 308GTS also...... Big Bucks $$$$ when they turn up.
It isn't a Saratoga top or a glass top, that I see, for that matter. I have never heard Saratoga associated with the Dino
The owner is an old friend of mine. He has numerous Ferrari's. Including an F40 and an F50. I met him back in 1990's when Bridge Hampton was still open and he had a 355 (1998, still has it). He raced with our 911's at the time. If you want the serial number I can get it for you. He has his cars restored at a place in San Francisco that does amazing work. His garage is not too shabby either. I'll get him on this site. Even though a few years ago I got rid of my Ferrari and went over to Lamborghini, I am still a frequent visitor here. May come back to this side when the 458 Spyder comes out. My Silver Gallardo spyder was parked by Cippolini with all the This was post # 62 in the NY section...americana manhassett show
