Spotted this Mini Coupe today on Wellington Rd - Can't say that I have seen too many on the road yet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like a car that Daddy would buy for some spoilt brat, generation Y, yuppie daughter. No doubt many will be domiciled in FarQ.
In convoy today in Mittagong.. 1 x Cayenne followed by 3 x Panamera. Talk about a lot of fat'n'ugly concentrated in a short stretch of road.. (beauty in eye of beholder etc.. but they don't fit a "Porsche" image to me even if it makes corporate profit sense).
I think its great. Porsche wouldn't be what it is today without the Cayenne. Maserati has an SUV coming out next yr Wonder when the Ferrari or Lambo's ones will be out.
Klink, it's another classic car. Maybe the image of Boxsters isn't that strong, but still a wonderfully capable car. Advantage of being a convertible too. Only problem is sometimes my scarf gets caught in the wheels. LOL I love my 944 Turbo. Red with black. They are one of the best cars Porsche ever made, and still enjoy a huge following to this day. Defend defend defend. Why are people so unkind?
at least it's not the ubiquitous 911 dropped egg (sorry Tristan, I know how much you like them but seriously, lazy designers or what ?)
Revolution over Evolution. I like to look at them, but too VW for me until, 964 onwards. Although 930 has plenty of appeal.
You can't seriously say this doesn't get you. I took this photograph at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Image Unavailable, Please Login
NFI. To each his own. German engineering and mechanicals, Italian design and flair and Korean price would = great car. But then everyone would have one and that would be a downside IMO.
I have to say in defense of Jags that Rob's E type has not missed a beat in the 10 days I was in and driving it with him on 2 Milles. It never even coughed as we passed several flat tops ...... now maybe I'm dead and living in a parallel universe where the opposite poles have flipped but Jags seem ok in this universe
