Ermm interesting, Webber well that is no surprise but the amount is.

Button and Hamilton well that is a surprise, top of my head I would have thought Button might have had the edge there.

No surprise with Barrichello, the guy has always been a terrible starter...him and his *clutch issues* No surprise with Webber either haha.

However, LH and JB kinda shocked me.

LH isn't a shocker given all of his incidents and penalties this year.

    Thanks for that interesting table.
When you think about it there are few surprises though.
The higher up the field you qualify there are fewer spots to be gained and more to lose.

    Good result for Michael though.

I said that ages ago. You're a bit slow. Also, MS seems to often be so far back in qual compared to what race pace is that the 'start' stats flatter him.

Maybe but I tend to qualify well.

While you are the gold standard in such things don't begrudge me my feeble attempts.

Interesting and I'm not necessarily challenging the results but I still would like to know
    a) what the measurement is (gained position after 1st turn or first lap or what?) and
    b) how they measured it (if it is after the first turn for instance)

    b) is probably easier answered by using real time telemetry and I supposed whoever puts this together has a live feed and doesn't just make it up?

Ultimately for us a watchers this is like religion: Hard to prove/disprove, which is why I don't like it very much.

I think he means most people would have thought Button would be ahead of Hamilton, as in Hamilton lost more places, but he didn't.
