FF order....

A note on Blu Mirabeau. I fully intended to spec TDF. However, FoNE had a Blu Mirabeau 458 on the lot that just looked incredible. In person, it looks a lot deeper and richer (less "lavender") than on the configurator.

Congratulations !! My car has been stuck at 20 for weeks, I don't see me in before December despite ordering in May !! And I even went to the Atelier in both NY and Maranello. Customization holds up everything.

 

Thank you. I harbor no illusions about speed. Not like this is the fifth one I've ordered, nor am I likely to order five more.

I have to say that Ferrari of New England has been a joy to work with, both on my 328 and now ordering an FF.

 

Gorgeous. Personally I prefer the diamond pattern over Daytona for the seats but I sure wouldn't say no to a FF with the latter!

 

Cariad, I don't know if it's purely a custom order thing. I'm status 20 too.

 

Trincap See my comments on the post with video "I saw 15 FF's in a day". There were 2 US cars shown. One stationary by the gate and the other specced like mine at about 1.32.

 

Hmmm, ok but that could just be one of the demo cars or something. I know they are putting one on a plane (a plane!?!) and it's going to be shown off in November here in CA. Are the US ones the only ones with the orange side reflector thing?

 

Wow that really is a beautiful colour for the FF, will look even better in the metal. Great choice!

 

Orange reflectors not in Europe only Canada, USA , Korea, one Middle East country. More info on my car next week.

Best guess is Q3-Q4 next year.

 

Just got photos from Maranello. My car is finished and being road tested. A couple of misunderstandings on the options, no CIDL or CISK. Will have to live with that.
Grigio FF and Testa Di Moro look very elegant and wheels RMST complement exterior color.

Cool! Sucks about the carbon fiber mixup (I have both spec'd on mine.) Can they replace the wheel and sill plates before shipping it?

 

No, Already asked. Offered to order another car for me. CIDL is both wheel and instrument panel, latter goes in very early in assembly. Saved $10K !

 

I just browsed this thread again: I actually think your car will look pretty good w/o the carbon fibre, given the grigio exterior.

I'm excited for you to get yours, as I try not to even think about when mine will be delivered.

There is a nice Prosecco which is branded Ferrari, however perhaps a bottle of Lambrusco, the wine du jour at Montana might be more appropriate. You might find out from your dealer that yours is still Status 20, that is what mine showed despite photographic evidence to the contrary !!

I put a msg through to the dealer to find out. Is there a better way? (and no I'm not getting on a plane!)

 

I was at the Atelier in Maranello in September to option the car. Friends at the factory photographed the car on the assembly line and while testing, despite MODIS saying Status 20. Benefit of Atelier car is personal contact with Atelier management. What status does your dealer say and what external color is it.
Ferrari prosecco is nothing to do with Ferrari SPA, many second name Ferrari's in Italy.I have seen the name on plumber and electrical contractors vans !
My dealer says there will be about 30 FF's delivered to the USA before year end.
Keep bugging your dealer !
