    F430 Addict & Russell, can you measure the diameter of your pipes into and out from the Muffler from the Capristo Complete system, I guess they are min 80 mm? I am checking what the min Scud Twin Sound diamater is by comparison. Today I measured OEM SCUD closed valve bypass is 65mm, open valve straight through 85mm into exit pipe of 95mm. I now have the original SCUD sales brochure where Ferrari talks about passing the emissions tests despite removing the pre cats in the headers and I think the only way this happened is by restricting the Bypass to 65 mm diameter. If the min diameter of the Capristo Twin Sound pipes is also 80 MM I think I will run for this as it looks more technical in engine bay

    Have to get back to you on that Richard.

    Took the 430 out for a long drive this morning. The Carbonio lids do reduce the intensity of the intake soundtrack. it's at least 50% softer now but volume of air could have increased as the intake sous despite being less pronounced grows in volume as the revs climb towards red line. Previously it was just a loud intake sound that is just consistent. Now it gets louder as the revs go higher.

    Any explanation for this? More intake volume than factory spec?

    I really think that increasing the size of the airbox covers without changing the size of the actual initial intakes or final plenum is probably a waste of time performance wise and the "horns" obviously do their job well. Capristo tell me the exhaust tubing diameter on the complete system is 65 mm (130 mm circumference) straight through but it looks wider than that

    Ok it was time to get off the fence and so today I ordered the Capristo SCUD Twin Sound , as this system has been redesigned 3 times and the flow will not be as perfect as the SCUD Complete Sytem but it looks pretty good to me. As I already have SCUD Capristo Cats, I dont think that it will sound too unmighty

    Congrats! It'll sound mean but controlled with thd cats on. Won't be wild kind of loud. the valve control is the fun bit. Just make sure Capristo sends you two remotes. I got one only with my first twin sound regular 430 muffler, and two for my complete system.

    I know Scuderia seats can be used in conjunction with the factory three point belts, or with a four point racing harness. But if my 430 is configured to utilize the factory three point belts, can I also fit onto the same mounting point on the seats the waist belts for the racing harness? This means I'll have two forms of seat belts at my disposal. Just not sure if I could squeeze two types of belts onto a single mounting point.

    Can anyone chime in?

    Yes, it can be done.

    I've seen my friend's SCUD has three point and four point fitted.

    The problem you will be facing would be. How to fit those four points onto the firewall, if you have no roll cage.

    I'd definitely recommend trying to achieve this. Four/five/six point harnesses can be very tedious for nipping down the shops or for occasional passenger use.

    Ripping out the leather covering on the firewall and bolting down either eyelets for the harnesses or get one of Rob Ida's custom harness bars so i can strap the harnesses over instead. Either way, the cross member needs to be drilled. I'm not fussed. Thanks for the response guys! Much appreciated!

    Just have a buddy with a smaller Sony or Nikon camera take a video with you going under an underpass. Just drop him off, make a U-Turn and do a flyby. Then make another U-Turn and pick him up.

    Will do this with my 360 Spider and Tubi and see what kind of sound quality I get? Have some nice underpasses near by.

    Looks like the Fabspeed thread kind of died? Much more civilized atmosphere the past couple of days without it. :)

    Deal sealed! GTO carbon seats and oem red four point harness will be paid for first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks to Rob Ida as well for the harness bar which I will buy next week. Hopefully all these parts arrive before the end of the month so I'll have a fun filled December trying to put them all together.

    At the same time, I've got a set of genuine Scuderia kick plates on route.

    Long story. Short version is the original owner of my Scuderia spec'd the car with medium size seats and height adjuster. I thought the seat was OK on test drive; but after 6 mths decided seat was a bit snug for my liking. Came across some new 599 GTO seats complete with the rails, bought and fitted them.
    Seats are great; but colours not quite right for my car. Ended up ordering 1 new large size Scud seat from dealer in right colours.............which is what I should have done in the first place. Seat should be here in 6 weeks estimated, and then 599 GTO seats are available.

    I got your PM. I will take some photos and send them to you. Seats are unmarked and look brand new.
    Come complete with the seat rails and bolt right in to a 599 or 430.

    Updates: paid for brand spanking new GTO seats, rails and red four point harness. Hopefully it arrives within the next two weeks. Scuderia entry sills on route. Harness bar getting made as we speak. December's gonna be busy busy.
