Sorry to confuse you Joe. I got confused myslef as the 2 cars are so similar in many ways! I thought when I wrote that you mentioned the 1987 car with the fins whihc was not the case. The Furlonger car is the pre-aug 1986.

The other is HLA12249 and was sold to Keith Downs

In EVO magazine, French issue, there is a wonderfull article comparing Countach QV, Diablo 6.0 VT, Murcie SV & Aventador... the winner of test is... Countach QV, you should look at slippering controls pics (2 full pages)... amazing !!!!

The garage was asking 138K euro, so approx. 190K USD.

It's an S2 car with 40mm carbs (hence my questions about how to bring them back to 45s and high lift cams). This annoyed me a lot, to tell you the truth, and afterwards things went such a way that acquiring a CT was not on the agenda anymore, unfortunately.

Initially, that car had been delivered to Canada.

    Here are some more pics.

    Very cool car.

But why even mess with the carbs and such? It's so irrelevant....the difference. Listening from inside the car, the carbs are music no matter 40 or 45's.
I really hope that was not a sticking point with the purchase.

Nice! Please share the info. The car looks really good. Quite frankly, forget about 40 vs 45 at this point. Carb countach are going up indiscriminatly. If you can work a good deal, I am sure you can figure this out later. An S2 carb is an S2 carb.

At that point I thought I would look around a bit more.
And later the cash was used for some housing investment.

    Maybe a big mistake.

No, that's another gentleman. Ali traded the QV in for a brand new Annivesario from Portman Lamborghini, delivered to him by Mike Perry.

Investing in housing??!!! Not the US, I hope.. Looking back, I'll say the best investment since 2002 that I made so far is... my car! I may not have made money taking cost of living, but at least the total value amount has gone up!!

    Yeah, they look cool.

Joe could probably answer this..... were amber fog lights a France and Swiss thing? Or were they also put on cars destined for other countries as well?
