they're both looking at the radio and saying, "when your car sounds like this, it needs a radio". :)

No clue... but I don't think it was Enzo's car.

Actually he's wondering why the engine noise is coming from behind him.

i think you might be surprised what the "big boys" thought of each others products...i'm sure mr ferrari knew dr porsche...porsche knew ettore bugatti as well...ferrari knew all the big guys at alfa.. come to think of it, one of enzo's alfas, a lone t59 bug and an auto union just might have been on a track at the same time..i'm not sure what mr ferrari thinks of the damen cabrio but i'm sure he was impressed with porsche's auto-unions and the tanks of ww2...as henry ford once said, "when i see an alfa romeo drive by, i tip my hat"....and as i recall, cars made by henry's family beat the red cars on occasion. :)

If I were a car builder, I'm sure I would want to check out as many manufacturers/models as I could. To this day, even the biggest manufacturers are known to buy competitors cars and take them apart.

You'd be crazy to think he didn't pick up ideas from the competition. Trying to figure out what model that is? No separate rear seats and I don't think it's a Speedster?

it's a 1956 cab..top down and buttoned up...rear seat back up...i think in 57-8 they went to the vent window on coupes and cabs...that's a factory mirror and it has the radio option. certainly not a speedster..but how cool would that be!!

I think the important person is the one next to him. It is Graf Berghe von Trips. And as von Trips drove Porsche before he changed to Ferrari, this 356 pre A Cabriolet could be his personal car. He started his success on a 356 Coupe.
So Mr. Ferrari perhaps took a test drive on von Trips car?
