    I know I've run across this before but no amount of Googling has turned up the answer. I wouldn't know where to post this on the camera forums so here I am:

    I copied some pictures to a memory card to import them onto my iPad2. The card is recognized, the pictures on the card that were copied there are NOT recognized but any pictures left on the card that were there straight from the camera ARE recognized and get imported by the iPad2.

    Once again - pictures taken on that card by camera - recognized by iPad2.
    Pictures not taken on that card but copied there on pc - not recognized by iPad2.

    What am I missing here?

    I don't know much about iPads but one thing to check is the file type they were saved as. Sometimes when copying files I've made the mistake of saving them as the wrong type and some devices won't recognize them. For example make sure they were saved as xxyyzz.jpeg or something similar.

    No. The files are unchanged in any way except they were copied off the card to the pc and now I'm copying some of them back to try to import them to the iPad2.
