Yes, the project continues. After I'm done with the seats and carbon bits, I think I'm gonna need to source for the scuderia extinguisher...anyone have one they wish to sell?

Have an ETA for the GTO seats. Landing in two days. Much earlier than expected. Harness bar not ready yet but found z local source for zero360 2.25kg mechanical extinguisher. Will order that next week. But if my patience runs out with thd harness bar I'll just get four points fabricated instead of a cross bar. We'll see.

Anyone successfully managed to retrofit harnesses into a spider? Difficult/impossible?

Gotta sort out the mounting of the harnesses first. I assumed the belts were loop ons till they arrived with bolts at the end. So I'll need to fabricate eyelets to bolt onto the crossmember. What is thd technical term for this part again? It was mentioned before. I remember this could be bought off eBay. 25mm is the thread size. Help? Anyone?

Problem strikes before I even start unpacking thd harnesses. The harnesses were off a 599 GTO. Thd GTO being a four seater has longer harnesses so they can be bolted down to the back. The 430 on the other hand does not require as much harness length. Unfortunately these harnesses were made specifically for the GTO which does not allow much adjustability. There are buckles at the hips bug we are talking about an excess of over twelve inches of harness material that needs to be removed. I'll send the harnesses off to a specialist to have them shortened "professionally" tomorrow. Not sure if that's thd best solution but that's all I have now. Anyone wish to chime in?

Congrats! They look fabulous. Significant weight saving I imagine. Good luck with installation. Look forward to finished pics.

Russell if you roll your 16M in a 4 point harness with a soft top you are dead immediately from a broken neck

I don't like the sound of that. Note to self - don't roll the 16M.

Not that I was considering adding harnesses but I do seem to remember a fellow fchatter talking about it, even think I might of seen an install thread somewhere. So obviously wasn't ever a factory option for 360/430 spiders to have harnesses?

Correct Quick Death, has NEVER been a factory option in any Spider

Even if it was on the options list, I'm sure it wouldn't be popular. Lol.

Part of the fun is customizing to your taste . Scud prices are quite a bit more and if its only the look you like or want then its worth it
