Taillights look familiar but from where ? Mopar ? Maxima ?
Saw today a white 275 NART spider. Or at least that's what it wanted to look like. I Googled a bit to find out what it was. Never knew there were so many body kits for the Miata! Also found a Daytona spider Miata. It looks sad... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's just silly. Not a good lookalike, and not even attractive. Why bother? Oh, I don't know. It looks nothing like a Daytona, which would be impossible considering that the Miata is about 1/3 the length of a Daytona, but the red one is kinda cute. I wouldn't mind a Miata that looks like that, but it's still obviously a Miata. I've said it before : Leave off the badges!
hater's can hate I think this one is kinda cool. I'd take it with a GN turbo 6 & an automatic. I just KNOW you're only trying to stir up some trouble! You have a real 328 and you want a GM (!) V6 with an automatic?! Uh, huh. . . I've seen one of those in real life. It looks like it's about twice as tall as it is long!
Evidently whoever posted this on YouTube thought it was a real 308GTB. Some of the comments posted with the video were hilarious.
LOL when the roof pops off and the sunroof is revealed underneath! Can all of them meet the same fate?
That cracked me up, too. . . but at least the person who made it knew enough to conceal the sunroof; most of them don't. That would make me happy! I posted a comment stating what I thought of this thing and got a reply almost immediately stating that "Fieros can outhandle Corvettes." Really? So, if Fieros are such wonderful cars, why do so many try to make them look like something else?
Lamborghini Countach on Ebay. This is an insult on humanity. I think the death penalty is appropriate here: Image Unavailable, Please Login
From the start it's obvious it's not a 308GTB. The rear side window slats and petrol door give it away.
Whoa, tell us how you really feel, Bob! Actually, I wouldn't object to this, much, if it didn't have Lamborghini badges. Then it's just an interesting re-body on a Fiero. It's not really all that bad looking, except for the appalling hood; maybe the weird sculpture on the hood could be peeled off. That's one of the recurring problems - along with bad proportions - on all the Fiero-based "308" replicas - even on the revered "Mera," which an owner I met assured me is rarer - and therefore, more valuable - than an actual 308.
because the original design of the fiero looked like **** (I own a 2M4 so I would know). Plus I guess most kit-builders don't really care, they just want a car that looks like a ferrari or lamborghini and the fiero was the mainstay of the kitcar business (thanks to the plastic bodypanels I guess)
He could probably do that as well. I know he also road races it to and has taken out a couple of modified NSX's, Vettes and Vipers. The only aspect the real enzo has on his car is probably top speed.
LMAO. This one could fool a seasoned vet [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhWiYnLn2PU[/ame] a few more modifications like an engine swap and finished interior and it could pass as original to the naked eye. But check this out [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQgwH2viEVA&feature=channel_video_title[/ame] Soon paddle shift systems will be replicated down the original car.
He roadraces it to. . . where? The front wheels are off the ground under acceleration, and he's going to out-corner an Enzo. Okay. Whatever you say. I don't know that "replicated down the original car" means. Please enlighten us. Now, okay. I get it. You've made your point again and again: Kit cars are vastly superior to the originals that they are trying to copy, in every way except - maybe - top speed. That's nice. So buy or build yourself a kit car and be happy. This is a Ferrari forum. The people here love Ferraris. Very few of us want kit cars. If you want one, get one. It's your choice. I really have no objection to kit cars - and that "Lambo" replica does look nice, except for the horrid hood ornamentation - but I wonder why such superior cars (according to you) must mimic lesser ones (such as Ferraris and Lambos.) It reeks of poseurism to me. None of these cars would be objectionable, as hot rods, if only they did not carry the badging of other cars. Honestly, "Skullangel," everyone here knows where you stand: It is clear that you appreciate kit cars more than genuine Ferraris and Lamborghinis. So I have to ask, Why are you wasting your money on a subscription to FerrariChat rather than spending your time in a hot rod or kit car forum?
Nice, and kudos to the person who built it! Build an Auburn Boattail Speedster or a Dusenberg model J replica (there are a number of them) does anyone put them down?? I can't hear you!
In some cases yes, I have to agree. Using modern technology replicas can be vastly superior to the original they replicate.
+1 And, The Louvre should dump that crappy painting of the lady with all the cracks through her face. A modern copy would be so much better. And while we're at it,... a friend has a page of a Gutenberg Bible. 1 crappy nappy page. He pretends it valuable... What a dufus.
