    When did the perforated inserts in the seats stop? I've seen them up to 1985 I believe. Did 1986 cars get the non-perforated or solid inserts?

    My '86 has perforated inserts. A buddy of mine has an '87, and his seats also have the perforated inserts. Not sure about the '88 and '88 1/2.......

    As far as I know it depends who did the seat, Paratelli or the other company.

    Correct, and you definitely want one with the seats done by Paratelli!

    The other company had the seams double-stitched and they always looked re-upholstered, they had no perforations in the inserts, and the bolsters were not as padded and the leather pulled (unlike Paratelli's seats with smooth hard bolsters, nice crisp seams & thin beading, with cool seat inserts).

    I've scoured my Countach books for original shots of 1121086, but only come close with cars identified as 1090, 1092. Any chance you can identify that S1 in any factory photos?

    Hi all,

    I still would like to know what happened to this Countach LP400 S.
    Original Swiss delivered car, because the signal lights are reversed.
    The car was came to the Netherlands in 1982,
    and it was exported in 1984 or 1985. I think it went to the USA.

    I had enlarged pictures of this car in my bedroom when I was young,
    and it was the first Lamborghini I ever drove in (as a passenger), on 19 september 1982.

    Does anybody know how many white/blue cars were delivered to Switzerland perhaps?
    I would love to find out the chassisnumber ;-)

    Hey, I read -quite- some posts ago - that this remained an open question (signals being reversed) : so, that would have been a Switzerland requirement, huh ?

    Signal lights reversed? Are you talking about the front Marcel?
    Look closely at 1121006 front signal lights, they are reversed. My car has never had front end damage. So, why would some cars have them reversed? Factory, importer, bodyshop, or just the cool thing to do back in the 70's and 80's?

    I don't know of any, all I know had been white/white, about 6 in total, one went to germany.
    The others: #1121114 (Converted to Bosch injection), #1121196 (for sale at the moment), 1121198 (the poster car with the koenig panels, has a charger), #1121222 (long time in Germany, Karlsruhe), #1121430 in Bern since new, sold to Zurich a few years ago.
    One I don't know the VIN, had Ticino plates but was owned by a german, finally went to Germany.

    Then there is #1121444 which is now white/blue, but originally silver/blue sold to Holland and came back, has also Koenig sideskirts and the huge wing.

    Then a white/red car, I think it's #1121236 was for sale at Lutziger.

    Are you sure it wasn't the Lais LP400 you have been sitting in, since that car was featured around 1982 in diverse car magazines with exactly this special colour combination.

    Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure it was not the Walter Lais car. That car had the S1 wheels if I remember corrrectly, and was indeed featured in some German magazines. A spectacular looking car!! Very low ;-)

    Since you are Swiss, can you perhaps confirm the reversed signal lights requirement for Switzerland?
