Michael Schumacher was in Florida this weekend

He was in DeLand skydiving. NO BS. My friend is the pilot of the skydiving jump plane. This was MS second visit in two months. He'll be back soon. He came in in his Falcon 2000. There are pictures but I don't have any.

 

If we know of his visit in advance, it would be nice to invite him to a C&C or to an improvised dinner event.
To me, even if he is not winning anymore and even if he is not driving for Ferrari anymore I still think he is on a class of his own.

 

According to my friend he wants things very quite on his visits. Only one person knows the date that he is coming back.

 

MY son was at the airport that day, doing some jumps himself and just walked by him. Did a double take and talked with him for a few minutes and got a picutre. He was very low key.

 

Not surprised. You can't blame him.

 

But how many people actually ever heard of him or knows what he looks live outside of racing fans? Deland is mainly Nascar fans. If he was Dale Earnhardt Jr it would be a different story!

Dan Marino was a friend of my former boss and came in to see him one day. I was in the breakroom getting a soda and came out and a girl I worked with started freaking out saying that Dan Marino is here and I want his autograph. I said where is he? She said to me, He was standing behind you at the soda machine. Told her that I heard of Dan Marino but I had no idea of what he looked like since he always wore a helmet when he was playing. Bet most F1 fans have no idea of what Schumacher looks like.

Big Tex, is that a shot from the Phillip Morris ranch? A friend's son used to manage the ranch and Michael used to spend some time there before the Indianapolis F1 races. The son and Michael got to be good friends. My friend is a real car guy and follows F1 very closely. The son's a cowboy and Michael's just another cowboy to him. So Michael invites the son to the Indy race as his guest and the son asks Dad if he wants to go. The Dad think's, Micheal's guest...yeah right. They get there and end up have walk on water credentials. They hung out in the Ferrari pits all weekend including the race. They even went out to dinner Saturday night with Michael. The guy had to pick himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

 

Incredible experience...what a dream. I'm sure they have some cool stories for that weekend.

OMG! That's near ME! I wanna go skydiving w/Schumacher!!

 

Next time Michael goes skydiving maybe he should bring Nico with him!
