Metal work rebuild on this 1960 Cab as follows. The car was dis assembled and media blasted ready for me to perform the metal work restoration on this fine sports car.
I have a personally designed and built 'measuring box' that i set the body inside to help in the rebuild of the handcrafted sheet metal work. The 'box' will aid locating the complete new rocker rebuild compromising of the inner construction and outer rocker skin i made. This is also shown in the picture below.

Did you mechanically form the panel in a press or hand form it over the tooling?

    Wonderful work!!!!!

You are doing extensive restoration work on this car but you don't know the chassis number? That is difficult to believe.

Very nice panel! Would you mind sharing a photo of the tooling? Isn't that the most difficult part, or no?

    Ciao and best!

I was commissioned to complete the metal work rebuild and reconstruction of this car.It came to me in bare metal after media blasting. There was no need for me to take any notes and recordings of the chassis number and publish this information out of respect of the owner. Thanks for understanding.

Left and right hand inner fender wells made from scratch as the originals were not only heavily damaged but extremely thin from years of natural decay. Here are the photos below from start to finish taking patterns from the original panels.Machines used in the process;Eckhold shrinking machine.English Wheel.Planishing Hammer and the good old sandbag!.

This is an awesome showing of skills that seem to have been hard to inspire the next generation into learning.

    Amazing work!!

Could you please ask the owner the next time he or she wanders in for a look if he or she would be okay to share the chassis number of this great car with the FerrariChat site? Obviously we will understand either way, it's their choice to share or otherwise.

Having seen these panels up-close and personal on my own SII cab restoration, I can say your work seems very faithful to the original. Congratulations on the fine job so far.

    Wow, this is great! Thanks.
May I ask how many hours does it take to recreate such an inner fender well?

Is there any way to do any rustproofing between the metal in the overlap seams? You are doing an amazing job with that metal.

    Best regards,
