    I think GT5 is faster response in the physics engine... Forza is a bit - just a hair to notice - sluggish. the noise in Forze is vastly superior. Overall I was not thrilled by GT5- its a good game and I eventually got into it, but really I was expecting more... Forza I was not even going to buy until I tried it up at Road Atlanta during the Petite LeMans... and I thought I'll give it a try... and now that is my relax time... with the Peugeot I've come with in 1 sec of the pole time from this year... I think the tune up settings in GT5 are better you can feel just a degree or two of camber / castor change. in Forza its not as precise.

    I am a chef for just a week more or so, and I'll be leaving that business for the foreseeable future. Its something I am passionate about and had to try it or else I'd have regrets; I somehow manage to do a nice job and am good at it but circumstances I'm in make it very difficult and wearing on me. Its hard to be in recovery from alcoholism and work in the environment, as you may imagine.

    No formal training or schooling, I have been accepted to CIA and Johnson & Wales but I can't justify the expense and time for a four year program at this time.

    Anyway, the menu I serve is mostly centered around Persian cuisine.

    I haven't noticed any floating but yeah can't compare a full on hardcore PC sim vs a console game made to cater for everyone from wheel owners to controllers and Kinect. :eek:

    Playing for a few days now. I'm enjoying the game but it doesn't seem like they (Turn 10) get motor-racing. Lack of qualifying, random grid places and no warm-up lap is annoying but I guess as I mentioned not really a hardcore sim :eek: Still it would be nice to have these things as options.

    The graphics engine is an improvement over FM3, esp the lighting (which is why some of the tracks were removed). The Auto AI in career mode doesn't seem to work.

    Rivals is a great edition to the game. Except all the notices that I'm getting from my "friends" that have beaten my time :( :D
    swaqvalley I have noticed some of your times are not only in the Top100 but even the Top10!! I think I need to remove you from the list lol :eek:

    Adding cars to the unicorn list which were available in the last game is FAIL. The credit bug early in the game has also damaged the auction house as all these unicorn cars are going for 999999999999999999999999999.

    Autovista - Meh :eek: TDU2 does a better job. I guess it's for the Kinect users to feel loved.

    The paint shop bug where you can't pick the 2nd colour (Veyron etc) after you bought the car is still there from FM3. :confused:

    Affinity - Nice idea :) save me some credits so I can afford the expensive cars later on!

    Took the TR out for a nice long drive today, my god that car sounds amazing. No ABS, no TC, no HUD, it's very nice. I noticed they finally got non-ABS working properly, every other game is instant lock-up, in GT5 I would barely touch the brake and go spinning into a wall.

    I like the game a lot more , the more I've played it . I love all the paint & decals options, I wish GT5 was as in depth as Forza in that respect. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough in the game yet or checked all the right options, but are there any races at night ?

    I have a Veyron, and to over come the paint issues I just create a huge sticker... and covver the top & sides with the same color... I like the original Bugatti Sky blue...

    How do you all get the screen shots to post here?

    Nope nor wet weather. I guess they spent their time making Kinect work :(

    Yeah I did that in FM3 but it's a pain in the balls to do when you want to keep it 2 tone plus.. I noticed it's the same for the 599GTO roof :( It's like they didn't even optimize the paint program.

    You goto the website and login with your xbl account. Under "MY FORZA" is all your pics. Save and upload :)

    Yeah, I completely understand, I guess I'm just frustrated because I go from playing iRacing or rFactor to Forza4 and it feels so different that I just can't get used to it. I dunno, I'll keep playing it, but probably not online much. The AI though is kinda ridiculous too, they will not give up their line regardless if you are making a clean overtake move or not, they will just run right into you. Ok, I'll stop complaining now and focus on the parts of the game that I like. :)

    One thing I wish I could do is utilize my 3-screen setup with Forza without buying 2 more Xbox's and 2 more copies of the game.

    I'd like to race with the FChat guys on iRacing, but I live in Japan right now and the time difference makes the race time right in the middle of my work day.

    I'm finally looking to upgrade my racing setup from PS2, and it seems like Forza 4 is the one to get.

    1. Is it worth double the price for the 'limited collector edition'?
    2. What's a good steering wheel / pedal setup to get?

    The SX4 looks wicked, as well as the Masers. Other than that...not much.

    Yes. Seems some are going for as high as almost 160 in the same condition as mine... but since I'm not a bigtime ebay seller, 140 is plenty :p
