Thank you sir for the information on that car (#4385 GT).
I was very curious about it since it was being judged at an FCA national event.
I've never seen a Lusso like that one.

Here are a few more pics I took of it that day.

Just to make things very clear:
4385 GT is an authentic 250 GT Lusso but with a special 330 LMB-type body from new.
Nothing wrong with that car. See also "Cavallino" magazine #159 of June/July 2007.
4 July 1963 sold by official dealer M. Gastone Crepaldi S.a.s. in Milan to the first private owner Cotonificio Valle di Susa S.p.A., Industrie Tessile (Textile Industry), domiciled at Via Senato 12 in Milan, Italy, price paid was Italian Lire 8'000'000.

Just to clarify, 4713GT is 100% a 250 GTO *and* can easily be mistaken for a 330 LMB- being that it has a unique body relative to the other Series I GTO's. Whether it is legitimately for sale or not is another question entirely.

    Best,
    Dave

According to Bluemel and Pourret, the car has been in the US its entire life (or up to the time of publication). I wonder if Chinetti ordered the Pininfarina body or it was just built that way and sent to him.

I'm pretty sure 100% of this "sponsors" ads are completely false.

    Call me a skeptic.

    Thanks all!

Part of my skepticism was whether that was a real GTO or not. Happy to hear it isn't news just to me; I'm happy also to be wrong. :)

Now onto the second part of skepticism...whether the ad is real...tick tock...

Is it possible that the car in the original picture in the first post is 5509 GT?

The body on 4713 may look like the 330LMB but it has a different wheelbase then the original 330LMB's since the body is fitted to a GTO. Piper and Gregory ran the car at LeMans in 1963, car #26

In post #37 that again is 4385 when it was painted light metallic blue before it was restored back to its original red. Interesting car.

It was pointed out to me earlier today, in an email from another F Chat member, that a few of our cars ( not the car in question here) were on a website that I was unfamiliar with. At that time I said it was unauthorized and most likely a scammer. Since then, I have found out it was a site that a man named Ahmed is connected to and in their defense, I have talked with them on the phone numerous times and did tell Ahmed that he could offer my cars to his overseas clients. I was unaware that he had them on a website, but in his defense, I did tell him he could offer them. While having never met Ahmed, I have talked to him atleast 10 different times over the phone. He is a polite, well spoken individual and from what I can tell, does seem to be genuine. He DID ask my permission to offer my cars which is NOT something I have ever had a scammer do, so I think we need to look at this closer before calling it a scam....
If anyone has any questions for me, I am always reachable by phone at 8709318004.
P.S. I got a phone call from Ahmed waking me up at 3:30am this morning concerning this matter, otherwise, I am usually asleep at this time..... :)
Anyone else interested in calling me, please call 8am - 8pm central time.

I have been offered, by legitimate people, several 250 GTO series 1 and one Series 2 for sale recently and as is often the case a number of brokers and "brokers" offer the same cars for sale.

thanks, just trying to protect the community and the community does a near perfect job of protecting itself. so far it does seem like Refined Marques is legit. so far only negative comments on this site and others is along lines of "too good to be true, so must be scammers". we can keep analyzing.

Rob, they have posted pictures of one off cars that are not for sale (the Bugatti for example) and others for cars that simply do not exist. (the 1 of 1 458 "for sale" that was posted as a rendering from an Fchatter).

correct, I would like to hear about how they plan to back those up. even if the vintage cars are vouched for as the direct dealer confirms, the promises about 458 Spider etc could sink them.

I agree. I am sure you will do your diligence on this, but it looks fishy to me. Have any 458 spiders been delivered yet?

Thanks for the serial number !
Is 4385 the same blue Ferrari with that styling that was offered many years ago in the Ferrari Market Letter? It was of course a b&w ad back then...
