Hi! I took delivery of a beautiful rossa corsa 2001 Ferrari 360 this week, owned previously by a few very nice Fchatters who took fantastic care of it and did some absolutely stunning upgrades and modifications (to which I think them very much for!). All I can say is wow, it is fantastic! I also own a tuned Porsche 996tt and G35 coupe, both of which I also love dearly for thier own purposes and I will never part with, but the Ferrari is just in another league. I know that sounds cliche and everyone says it here, but it really is. The Porsche is definately faster in a straight line, pushes you back in the seat more and has much more torque which you can confidently put down at all times with AWD, but the look, feel, sound, and attention is just turned up a few notches from anything else I've ever driven with the Ferrari. It just looks impossibly curvy, wide and low, even next to the Porsche, but my favorite part of it is by far the engine and exhaust note. It has a Tubi exhaust and Fabspeed catless test pipes and absolutely screams like an F1 car. I love the sound of the catless Europipe stage 2 in the Porsche, but it cannot compare to noises the Ferrari makes. Even sixth gear on the highway cruising sends tingles down my spine, and the scream from 4.5k to 8.5k RPM is just sublime! The best part is that the sound is so audible and incredible inside the cabin, windows up or down, regardless of speed or rpm. It truely is a wonder how these things sound. Below are some pics and here's a list of mods the car had done (thanks again to the previous owners!) As several know here, I was originally planning to buy a F430, then changed my mind and came very close to getting a Challenge Stradale, but when that fell through and I got a very reasonable private sale offer from a Fchat owner, burner42, concerning this 360 with the mods included, there was no way I could pass. In fact, I noticed when he bought this car in January and asked him to let me know when he was selling as it's so hard to find a rossa corsa 360/F430 with black interior and red stitching. He sent me a PM two weeks ago and now it's in my garage! I couldn't be happier with my choice here! In my honest opinion, the 360 is the best exotic bang for the buck out there right now, and is terrific value with little to no depreciation curve. I'm all about relative value, and as much as I love the CS and F430, I just couldn't justify the 50% price premium for an evolution of the 360, at least when presented with this particular 360 for sale. It's nice to have enough cash leftover to add a 4.3L Aston Martin Vantage as well for the savings over a CS or F430 (but I'm trying to postpone this for at least a year or two!). Here's a list of the existing mods/options: - Rossa Corsa exterior with full black leather interior and red stitching throughout the cabin - Challenge Stradale carbon fiber race seats - Tubi exhaust and Fabspeed catless test pipes (wow does it sound good!) - Full carbon fiber interior upgrade including: center counsel with cup holder, instrument cluster, stereo/climate control, mirror switch panel, door sills, door trim - Carbon fiber air boxes in engine bay - Hamann carbon fiber rear diffuser (for sale btw, PM me if interested) - Racambi Challenge front and rear grills - Alumnium driver dead pedal; mounted fire extinguisher; custom floor mats - 3M bra and embroidered car cover - K40 integrated front/rear radar/laser detector and laser diffuser - Upgraded F1 pump with Racambi cooling fin collar - Custom alpine stereo system with sub, speakers ect - 19'' Vossen gloss black wheels and 80% tread tires (also for sale) - 360 oem starfish wheels and tires (also for sale) I think that about does the mod list. I'm selling the gloss black Vossen wheels and already have F430 oem wheels that I will be putting on once the lug bolts arrive from Racambi. I am going to do the Stradale TCU upgrade as well as add the yellow F430 tach background mod, but that is about it. Perhaps headers down the road to get rid of the precats (they are in the headers, right?). I'm selling the Hamann carbon fiber rear diffuser, it is very cool, but I've always preferred that giant gap instead. I'm also selling the carbon fiber cup holder (need the cigarette lighter outlet there instead), and the stock oem 360 wheels/tires. I also have all of the stock interior silver metal parts, and stock airbox covers, so PM me if anyone is interested in any of these parts. Finally, I want to say thanks to everyone here at Fchat for providing such great info and enthusiasm about the brand. It's very exciting to finally be an owner! Here's some pics of the car. I will post updated pics with the F430 oems when they are on, probalby the week after next. Wow! That was a great write up and a great looking car! Congratulations and as always, enjoy her safely!
Beautiful example! Lovehe seats, the exhaust setup is killer too. I believe stock headers prevent the cel from popping up when the test pipes were fitted. Good stuff! I believe once the 430 wheels go on, she will be perfect. Wait! Don't forget the cs mirrors too!
Good point about the headers and cel issue, will look into that more. Headers are not a priority at all right now. First the F430 wheels (hopefully next week if the bolts get here before thanksgiving, perhaps week after), then CS TCU (if I can ever find one at a reasonable price! - pm me if you know of one for sale), then yellow tach background mod. I really love the look of the stock red mirrors, and I truely hope people who are buying CS mirrors are not paying $20k for the set: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=262663 , lol!
Beautiful car, congrats. Now the 996tt will never be driven in summer. I had a 700 hp 996tt (k2418g, injectors , exhaust, meth inj) , i did not realize how boring it was until i got my 2011 gt3, now ferrari is truly another level. Enjoy!
Mike, I am so happy you like the car and everything is to your satisfaction. I really miss her, it is weird seeing pictures of the car posted by somebody else. It really is a great car and should provide pleasure and excitement for many years. Hopefully my business investments will pay off this Spring and I can post pics of my new replacement Ferrari next year... it's going to be hard to find a car that clean with those options. Enjoy...
The F430 wheels were put on tonight. I'm very happy with the result, looks even better than I had imagined! I was only able to get one picture to come out becuase it was dark out, but I will get some better daylight ones later to share. Every single time I look at this car I'm just taken back by how beautiful it is. Just stunning . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gorgeous car - color combo, and I love those seats. Very rare and already fitted with tasteful, proper upgrades. Great purchase. Congratulations!
Here's one I have of the Hamann carbon fiber rear diffuser. I like it, but it's for sale for the right price as I also like the big gap look without it. I think this is it, retail of $3,750 - $4,200 : http://www.******************.com/ferrari-360-parts-ferrari-360-body-kit-c-137_146/ferrari-360-modena-hamann-carbon-fiber-rear-diffusor-p-239 http://www.estrictlyforeign.com/Hamann-FERRARI-360-MODENA-SPYDER-REAR-DIFFUSOR-CAR-p/10%20360%20136.htm If you or anyone else has any interest, please PM me. I'm happy to take some better photo's and email as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man what beautiful cars 360's are. To think that I didn't reallyu care for them when they first came out....thought that they looked too "Japanese". Now I frickin' own one! Just goes to show how new styles and shapes grow on you I guess. Anyway, enjoy your new toy!
I am truely shocked how modern this car looks. Basically every person that looks at it in person thinks its a 2011 (obviously not fchatters who know about the models, but normal folk all think it is brand new). I think the carbon interior and red stitch really helps in this regard with the timeless overall design. I could not be happier with the looks and really have no desire for more power either. Such an exciting drive (which is what it is all about).
I just got the car back from the belt service at Studio 47 here in Columbus, OH. Craig Reed is a great guy and I highly recommend anyone in the area take your Italian car to him. It's a really cool shop and very personable. Here's a couple daylight pics with the F430 wheels on. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
