    SO much more interesting than the 500 everyone is going on about these days. Why couldn't FIAT have evolved something from that model for their re-introduction to the US market??

    Sure hope you'll take & post a whole bunch more detail shots and give us a good writeup!

    I've seen a few Coupes in Montreal and they look good, although the nicest version is the 20V Turbo Plus, with the body kit.

    I'd love to see some late 90's GTV V6..............much prettier than the Fiat Coupe's.

    Great taste in cars!......If I'm not mistaken you're the guy who had a Lancia Thema 8.32.

    How does the 20V drive?

    Is an Alfa GTV V6 next?

    I sold the Thema :( ... but have a few unusual cars at any given time...each with their own driving enthusiast appeal.

    I recently drove a GTV V6 and although the engine makes some nice noise and she definately is a looker, I was terribly disappointed in the handling and feel of the car...stroked that one off my wish list.

    The 20vT is a modern car with less road feel and less responsive steering than I would like but the engine is sublime, makes wonderful sound, turbo spools up wonderfully, acceleration is brisk, cornering grip impresses me, and I can see it doing very well as an autocross car...something I will try it on next season... just a very usable Fiat with polarizing looks (I like it, others don't) and bat out of hell go power....quite fun, in a modern car kind of way.


    I have been downsizing the fleet to more managable numbers so that I can actually drive each and every car regularly...

    currently have the following;

    1965 Huron (single seat, street legal, Porsche powered Formula V)

    1965 Beach Buggy (street legal with a pro race built 1835 with twin 44 IDF Webers)

    1978 Lotus Esprit S2

    1985 Bertone X 1/9

    1991 Suzuki Alto Works (best gravel running car I have ever driven...excellent turn in, tight "on-rails" suspension...probably the most excitement I have ever experienced in a car...going 100 kph (60mph) on a single lane twisty gravel logging road complete with wooden bridge, 90 degree bends etc)

    1996 Fiat Turbo Coupe 20v

    2010 Kia Soul (Wifey's daily....ugh)

    2012 Evoque Range Rover (my daily)

    Don't the GTV and Coupe share the same chassis?.......Do you prefer the V6 Alfa or 20V Turbo in the Fiat?

    Maybe a mid 90's Maserati Ghibli could be next!

    the Fiat engine is really sweet.... and the turbo pull throws you back in the seat so nicely....the 5 cyl engine sounds every bit as nice as the GTV6 in a unique 5 cylinder growly/roaring kind of way.


    I drove the GTV and the Coupe right after each other... priced exactly the same (both Japanese market cars) so the decision was simple...20vT all the way....no question.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    When it comes to parts and servicing, do you order parts from Europe for such rare cars? Obviously easy stuff like brakes and routine maintenance can be done by yourself or any Italian mechanic but when it comes to a major service or pieces that are not readily available, how do you proceed?

    I ask because I fancy getting either a GTV V6 Cup, Ghibli or Delta Integrale one day.

    I have shop manuals for my cars and I get most parts in England, although I have sourced some bits in Romania, South Africa, Italy, Japan, Germany and the USA... my hobby only exists because of the internet...has made owning rare-to-North America cars very easy.

    Integrale parts are all available in the UK as are my Fiat parts as there is a huge fan base of enthusiasts for these cars in England/Ireland....I don't think the Alfa is as well supported in England but I am sure they have specialists that can source everything. I get parts from Europe quicker than most bits coming from the USA!

    Finding a great low mileage non modified Integrale is a challenge, but they are an inspiring car to drive... I have driven the 8v and a couple of the 16v and they are a blast! Gotta love Lancia for great cars.

    I've got a friend that has the same car and he mentioned to me that the UK parts distributors couldn't be bothered to ship to Canada. He seems to have a hard time sourcing parts at this point.

    Thats sounds odd...I have never had an issue with any of my cars.

    Just got the following for the Fiat...complete engine gasket kit, water pump, all belts and tensioners, gas shock for hood....no problems sourcing parts.

    Perhaps he should join a European forum where all the good parts sources are known by members (as well as the ones to stay away from)
