What combo of two F-cars would you prefer and why?

  1. Older Coupe (pre 2000) / Modern Convertible (spyder/targa)

  2. Modern Coupe (after 2000) / Older Convertible (spyder/targa)

What combo of two F-cars would you prefer and why - What would you realistically spend your money on?

Modern Coupe / Older Convertible (spyder/targa)

    or

Older Coupe / Modern Convertible (spyder/targa)

Feel free to name models that you would go with. If you'd rather throw in a different marque as one of the cars - that would be ok if you just can't imagine both as F-cars.

Let's set Pre 2000 as Older / After 2000 as Modern...

My first pick would be my 328 GTS with a 575 coupe - Older lighter car with an open roof for more sound and fun at any speed. Newer coupe that is more comfortable and reliable for more longer trips. Two different experiences because of the age difference.

I will borrow your answer, because it's the correct one (if the 575 has a manual gearbox instead of the outdated F1).

I don't know that I'd consider a 575 more reliable than a well-kept 328 -- but more comfortable for long trips, definitely, with modern climate control and sound insulation.

Thumbs Up. Agree totally. In my case, I know the 328 is very reliable. I put the reliability in there as it might pertain to a combination with a much older classic - from the 50's perhaps.

We'll see how the answers line up. The new 458 spyder with a 250 SWB might also fit the bill but is out of my pay grade to be realistic...

    Modern coupe, classic convertible.

Within reason? 275GTS and Challenge Stradale or Scud.

Dream? 275 NART spyder and Enzo

New spider's have a higher chance to not not leak as much when driven in the rain. So, I'd prefer older coupe, newer spider.

    365/330 GTC and a F430 (manual) Spider

Love the older V12 Ferrari's and the 430 would be a great open top car.....spend not too far away from being realistic

I already have the pre-2000 Spyder, so I'll go with adding a F430 (realistic) or 458 (no way I could afford that) Coupe, thank you!

    Realistically I'd buy a F355 GTS.

But to really answer your questions: 360 Spider and F355 Challenge. I think the 360 spider is one of the most beautiful convertibles ever made and the F355 is pretty self explanatory.

I would like a 308/328 convertable. The GTS is close, and so is the Mondial Cab, but not quite.

A Daytona and a California would be a pretty nice combination. So would a 458 and a 365GTS.

    599GTB as a modern coupé

Money no object, a 250 California SWB as a classic convertible

I don't like any convertibles, my hair gets all blown and it takes hours to put straight.

    Personally, I'd pick a 246GT and a 246GTS.
