I have a Tubi, and would suggest a Capristo! Tubi is a great exhaust, but the sound of a Capristo is unparralleled.

One for Tubi here. I'm probably alone in this regard, but the Capristo car I got a ride in a while back made me immediately think "Honda with a fartcan"... wasn't a fan at all. It's loud but alters the sound way too much from stock, whereas the Tubi simply enhances the already fantastic stock sound.

capristo is a work of art the way its built. Tubi is not too shabby either, but the sound hands down goes to capristo.

I have a tubi which already came installed in the car when I purchased it.
Having said this, I would go for capristo.

If you can, find someone who has these installed first and listen for yourself.

I have a Tubi and wouldn't spend the extra money to upgrade to the Capristo S3 system.

I would however swap it in a heartbeat with the Twin Sound system...and may do that this spring.

Separating the main & bypass exhaust flow all the way to the tail pipe seems like a worthy upgrade. It eliminates any residual backflow and allows you to run the bypass valves open whenever you want.

Add in a remote and your smile at a stop light would be pretty wide. :)

How can I physically test this backflow in 2 weeks when the Stage-3 gets installed?

My mech informed me that having the valveit wired open will not cause any issue except the typ CEL light

Had a Tubi for a long time, changed for the stage 3 Capristo a couple month ago, sold my Tubi, no regrets.

Capristo is hands down the best exhaust for the 355.

I really like the way my car sounds with the Tubi, but I would like to hear a Capristo or Kreisseig on it. I have a feeling those two would accentuate the "F1 shriek" tonal character of the engine.

...so, Capristo S3 or twin? I understand the S3 sounds better but the twin (as noted) adds power and better deals with longevity, replaces the OEM (troublesome?) bypass valve set-up...at the cost of the F1 sound.

    Anyone have experience on both?

Is the twin really a detour from the sound so much that disappointment will result? (If not, I'd go twin in a nanosecond).

BTW, I currently have a Tubi.

Swapped from Tubi to Cappy level 1 with Cappy bypass valve.

You can get good money for a Tubi, as it is the "name" that most F-car owners look for. But the Cappy is simply the best of the F1 screamers.

If you want sound go with the original cappy, if you want HP at the expense of the F1 sound go with the cappy twin .............. if you want both F1 sound and the higher twin bypass HP .......... it can be done with a custom exhaust ..........

I evaluated both and chose the Cappy. You don't get the same F1 scream from the Tubi. It's just one of those things that makes you grin for hours.

Everyone that has gone through a tunnel at full throttle in my car has immediately started shopping for a F355!
