There is an email around though suggesting a sale for this coming weekend (Dec 2-4) which may also apply to their range of Golf & NFL books too

The clamshell should be in leather. Or maybe I'm wrong given that the F40 had cloth seats? I'd still prefer leather.

Yes there is - €175k in Holland. It's still up for grabs, hurry!

(although they are not allowed to sell it outside of the country, I'm sure we could arrange something for a nice commission :))

Bought the digital copy for ipad. Was not all that impressed. A book with 10 pages per model and a thorough writeup would be more interesting. IMO.

Just showed my wife...her response...

"If someone buys that 32 carat diamond horse and their chick doesn't have a 32 carat diamond necklace for her...there's gonna be one pissed off wife."

LOL

Yet there are idiots that will buy this crap just to showoff; status symbols, nothing more!

They won't increase in value and have no intrinsic heritage nor significant provenance.

I am one of these idiots and I bought the standard edition (from an exceptionally nice and experienced gentleman in Florida). I paid US$ 3'000 (three thousand), not a cent more. All the stuff I have bought in my life was bought without the idea that it could (or should) ever increase in value!! I don't care about values. Why should I? If you cannot and do not want to afford it, stay out of it anyway. And I didn't buy it to show off. I purchased it simply because it is another little piece of my collection. I am a real collector and have about 2'500 Ferrari books on my shelfs, no matter if good or bad, no matter if expensive or not. And I don't care about status symbols. I simply buy what I like and give a sh** about what others think. May be some of you guys should be more passionate and think less about $$$$$$ all the time. Oh, btw, the 250 TR/Aston Martin book done by Brandon Wang ten years ago, the one coming in the alloy bodied gas tank with leather straps, authored by Chris Nixon, weighs almost the same and cost US$ 10'000 (ten thousand). It is numbered and they did less than 100 copies.

Marcel,

I have heard about this book. Could you please post some pictures of this book? Maybe best place in the "official book collectors thread"? Would really love that!

Best regards,
Maarten
