    I think he's referring to the button hook path taken by the car. However, I attribute that more to getting off the curb at an angle for clearance. He might not have needed it on that curb, but sports/exotic car drivers do it habitually.

    Much ado about little.

    The 3/4 rear vision in the 458 Spider is similar to the Ferrari Superamerica design.

    And the 575 SA cars didn't have any noticeable increase in accidents caused by the reduced line of sight vision for things like lane changes, backing up, etc.

    I'm pretty sure the new 458 Spider drivers will be careful and it shouldn't be a problem.

    I know that signature quite well.
    I was referring to the difference of the line of vision compared to the Italia ”CF panel” but it’s true I had not considered the drop to the road problem .
    If indeed there is a line of sight difference at that angle?
