    Something a little different. BBS RS 16" wheels from the same period as my 308. They are missing the centers, which have become hard to find (a work in progress).

    I believe they are 8" in the back & 7" in front but I never have measured them. All I know is they fit well with no spacers or any modifacations

    Wow...you can't beat that price. Nice find. Did you need to make up adapters/spacers, or do these bolt right on?

    No adapters needed, just bolt them on. I did get the alignment rings which change the hub diameter. These are not required but it makes it easier to remove/install the wheel. These were included with the wheels. You will need new lug bolts though, found them online for about $4.00 each (front and rear are 2 different lengths). Wheels are Voxx MG3 17x8 bolt pattern 5-108

    Take an existing wheel, and make it wider by welding in spacers. That sounds profoundly simple.

    I'm not sure if you are a genius, or insane, possibly a bit of both. :)

    Any ideas for taking that replica 16" wheel and making it a 17" wheel.....?

    Not simple.. A very skillfull specialist made them. They are perfect round/straight and carry less balance weights than the original magnesium 8".
    Making 17" may be a little more work..

    Find a set of 17" 3 piece wheels, disassemble, discard the centers, put the 16" in a lathe, cut off the front and back rim halves so only the centers remain, drill the 18, 30, 36 whatever holes and reassemble! I´ve been planning to do this with 15" Ronal Alfa wheels, to make them 16" 3 piece but no cheap 3 piece 16" wheels showed up on ebay for the past year.

    I have had 360 wheels narrowed to fit within the fenders. Weldcraft did a great job. no balance or leakage problems.

    For those of you using spacers to fit different wheels, i offer a solution that worked well for me. I had a machinist take some of Daniel's fine Hill engineering spacers and machine pockets in two of the holes to allow an allen bolt replacement for the two pointy headed disc securing screws that hold the front discs in place. A lot of verbage but the picture tells it all.

    No more problem indexing the spacers or having them fall off when refitting a wheel.

    Thos look just right!

    Otherwise, I see no reason to improve on the stock 16".

    My main gripe is the lack of knockoff caps. The five-bolt setup is just like any old Buick's.
