002C was born as a 159S, with a 1900cc engine, and in 1948 it was fitted with the 166 (2000cc) unit.

    Thank you!
Proves just how easy it is to go wrong from memory, and assuming the car was a 125 at the time, and completely forgot about the 159. Been away too long.

Awesome! The grey wheels are fantastic and the new (ie old) lines are beautiful. It's amazing how different it looks with the sagging chassis fixed (evident on the body in those 2005 photos above). Well done, sir. Well done.

Sure does. The flatter nose and proper chin line matches the period shots so well now. I hadn't realized how that gentle arc of the hood line would suit the nose as well. I'd thought this was a minor adjustment but, in beauty, details sure matter.

It's 159 engine was bored out to 166. 002's engine still has 159 stampings. It's gearbox is 159.

I have to admit I've always liked that MM nose you created earlier, but I really think this all works so much better now. That old body had some weird angles that never looked quite right, and it was made even worse with the chassis sag. She's absolutely lovely now.

We also were able to correct a lot of other things that make her run much better.

It's amazing to me how much the character of the car is changed w/ the sag gone. can't wait to hear about its driving characteristics; it looks taut and ready to go!

We need an after shot with Jim at the wheel to make sure the sag is totally gone! Just kidding, the car looks beautiful. With Smiles, David

I can imagine it was quite a bit of undertaking.
It has a much more muscular stance now and the color of the wheels compliments that nicely.
