With all due respect, the thread title is a little misleading; There's going to be but a single, 3 day, in season test in addition to the young driver test..... Admittedly better than nothing, but still not enough IMO :(

    Cheers,

"Before the safety car returns to the pits all lapped cars will be allowed to unlap themselves and then join the back of the pack, ensuring a clean re-start without slower cars impeding those racing for the leading positions."

    I love this change.

I thought we already have this rule? Back to the original topic, 3 days is barely enough, but at least it's something.

No sir - They were all whining about the lack of such an arrangement - We had backmarkers mixed up with the front runners but, despite popular misconception, they can't just change the rules at will. ;) Change approved at the recent WMSC meetings in India.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Whining is left up to ones personal perception but common sense ask's "why throw a brick in front of a faster car" especially with all the hoopla of the teams that people think should not be running.

sorry about that Ian lol....again if it were up to me I'd let the non-podium teams test on the Monday after a GP as the equipment is already there.

    :)

Why shouldn't the podium teams also be allowed to test?....

I guess you want to "level the playing field"? - I've gotta disagree there - If you build a better mousetrap you should reap the rewards. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

I like the idea of back markers getting more testing, but that goes against the idea of budget saving for the smaller teams, and where do you draw the line? Bottom 5 teams?
