I am not sure about a "Bargain" at 80K..just sold mine today, it's staying local in Seattle area. I do think I like the wheels with the knocks off's better then the cast wheels. A set of knock off's on this car would be a great touch..

Probably, it is the nicest YOU have ever seen, but it is not the nicest...

This is #10442 that was on EBAY back in August 2007.

I know it by heart... as I won the bid on Ebay, but the previous owner didn't want to sell abroad, so he cancelled the higher bidding, mine.

It was then really original, in it's original delivery condition... if you see what I mean Roy !

It had 5.861 miles in 2007, not have been driven so much in 4 years. The current owner resprayed it in Arancio, changed the interior, that is nice, but a real mistake for its value.

The mileage is orignal, IF it was resprayed in its original color scheme, it would have been the nicest JARAMA GTS with so low original mileage !

80.000 $ is not cheap for USA market, but still a bargain for European folks in this shape !!!

It would be nice, if a moderator can forward this thread in the Jarama section, thanks !

The car Oliver had interest in; is the car to have. The car was unmolested. Unfortunately, it has been re-sprayed.

I agree, they deserve it, not only because I have one GTS, but if you consider what it costs to fix its engine... it is about 4/5 of a Miura engine restoration cost... the gap must be reduced. I know a Jarama GTS under full restoration in Italy, it will be a brand new car, it represents 80.000 € invesment, in addition to the purchase, so for a total of more than 110.000 €... that's what it is really worthing !

Funny thing happend to me today. Buyer on my Jarama GT comes in to take Delivery, already paid for it last night, along with his wife this morning..well his wife spots the Diablo Roadster I just got in, have not even advertised it yet...YEA you see where this is going..Diablo Roadster gone..Jarama still for sale LOL LOL what ever makes them happy.

So since the Jarama was already outside, I decided might as well take it for a little run to lunch..WHAT a great 50 mile roundtrip, I forgot how smooth and powerfull these V12 front mount GT cars are..it was really a pleasure to drive..AND plus the heater and the windshield wipers worked perfect, yes it was cold and raining here in Seattle today. Had the Radio on some old time classic and just had fun.

When I stop and think of the car, the way it drives, it's lines, nice interior, smooth power..I dont understand why they DONT command more money..they should..right up there with so many other higher dollar cars and just so much more with the Jarama IMO.

I do need to change my advirtisement on the car however, I see where the miles were converted to KM, as with most Lambos of early age, but the Jarama ODO actualy reads in MP as does the speedo, so it now, with my nice lunch drive today, has 40,385 GREAT miles on it with many many more left to go.

Steve the seller has great taste in cars. He is meticulous with all his cars and I am sure this car will be as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Wish I had room in my garage for this bargain of automotive art...

It's likely photoshop. I see what you mean, as there is one picture where the car is very bright and clear, but the background is less colorful.

Did the Diablo at least stay in the US? I know a lot of them have been going overseas.

Why doesn't the Jarama command more money? In my eyes it is a lack of demand. The Jarama GTS was introduced 1972. Still in production at that time were Espada, Muira SV and the Countach would be introduced in 1973. Competing against it were Ferrari 365GTB (Daytona) and 365GTC/4. Both of whom sport a far more sensual design than the angular Jarama. Mechanically the Jarama is a continuation of the 400GT introduced 1966. So in that regard it is nothing new. What it does continue with is what I consider a design shortcoming of the original 350/400GT engine. At the time Ferrari used a cup and pad system for valve lash adjustment. The pad setting directly beneath the camshaft. Lamborghini on the other hand uses a cup and pill system. The cup being directly beneath the camshaft and the adjustment "pill" beneath that directly on the top of the valve stem. The Jarama owners manual called for timing chain adjustment every 6,000 miles and valve lash adjustment done every 9,000 miles. So in practical terms it means that every 9,000 miles you have to pull the camshafts to do a valve lash adjustment if necessary. And that is far more time consuming than simply depressing the cup and swapping adjustment pads on a Ferrari engine. It also means you have many owners who don't bother.

The 400 GT is built on a square tube frame, the Jarama is built on a monocoque frame... nothing similar to my eyes...

    Have a look at www.jaramaregistry.com

    Mike,

I also want a Jarama. It reminds me of the early Surpa.

Who cares, if it does not scream exotic.

Given how much the color varies from shot to shot the answer would seem to be no.

Hard to beat that setting! It really works with the color too.
