I feel good after reading the article. "For sure, it will be a clean break with the past, a very different program, because it aims to win and it marks a change of mentality by the entire team." Ferrari aims to win this year. I now have no fears of another lack luster season. However, whoever implemented the "lets not win" strategy last year should be fired! Mark
I wish this article was all it took for me to have no fear but I have to say talk is cheap but I sure hope they do create a much better car for 2012. I would love to see a constructors and a drivers championship all in RED!
+1. The question is for me, will the 'new' thinking(that should have never left) be enough to overcome the 'evolution' of the RedBull. Q1,2 and 3 will fun in Australia as we should have a good idea by then. I dont really think testing will be a good indicator. Last year the Ferrari looked pretty well off there.
Off topic, but some stress engineer switched from Mclaren to Ferrari. Jonathan Neale i think. Apparently he can solve their tyre heating issues...
http://planetf1.com/news/3213/7380201/Newey-Back-To-Drawing-Board-For-2012 Lets hope the first test show's Ferrari had more luck at the 'drawing board' vs Red Bull, with its new found zeal for a good, fast car early on!
+ a Trillion! We've had far to many seasons where pre-season testing has indicated that Ferrari were going to be the team to beat, only to find out at the first race that they were having to play catch-up! (which usually came too late). These days I pay very little attention to the pre-season testing times!
