Indeed, and the 3 suited men in the background look like bodyguards watching over the cars :)

Surely these are 3 Museo cars ?
The BG ( Bergamo ) plate on the SV is a giveaway ( or, a big coincidence ? )
Where was the photo taken ? Joe ?

Oh yes those are the Museo cars and the image was taken in Rome during the launch of the Aventador.

I mention Barbara Wolf because Walter bought the car for her and she drove it.

Indeed he did. So much so that he paid for an entirely new rear end when she drove the car at speed on the autobahn with the rear hood latch unlocked and it opened & blew completely off its hinges! :)

Peter: it appears the pics were actually taken in Munich. But you will also see similar pics of the same 3 cars taken in Rome, also for the launch of the Aventador.

The Miura always looks all the more impressive when surrounded by run of the mill, modern cars like we see here. Stands out like a rose between thorns. Love this photo.

By the way - I wish my copy of Miura Bible was supplied in a slipcase like that German Edition. Very nice. Prefer the original cover though.

Joe - does copyrighting prevent you from using the correct 'Lamborghini' and 'Miura' logos on your book cover, or was it a concious decision not to use those?

No because the entity (the original Automobili Lamborghini SpA) that had copyright mandate over those Miura logos no longer exists. I'm not sure the current entity has bothered to copyright them.

But in the end the cover was the publisher's choice. I simply supplied text, illustrations & images and they put it together. In all the book took me 10 years!

The SVR has been restored. I remember when Hiromitsu Ito (Tomei Motors) used to own it and he brought it over to Italy for the 25th Anniversary in 1988. Shame they restored the interior to non-original spec but I have noticed this is often the case even with historic cars in Japan.

I've seen the SVR referred to as "The Circuit Wolf" in Japan. As Hot Rod Miuras go, would be hard to turn down the SV Jota recreation, especially since the "SVR" interior looks like a bottle of French's Mustard exploded in it...

The SVR is a very important car in Miura and Lamborghini's history in my opinion and should be kept as the factory modified it.

Funny to see my car on this site. It had a Jota conversion on the front end, done some time in the early 1980's. Car also has a split sump, extended oil sump with hinged baffles to keep the oil from sloshing around, SV wheels in the back and is one heck of a performer.

I plan on converting the head lights back to original in the near future.

Oh my, it was your car! Brilliant to have you here on this forum!
I would love to see the an orginal front lights back on your car, but like I wrote in video comment; the car looked so well cared and an orginal that you really have luck to own one.
And the video, specialty the sound of the clip and quality was superb!
All those mechanical sounds were heard so well.!

A very nice Miura. It will be even better when you restore the head lights to original. Are you going to put the "S" badge on the rear, the Bertone badges and rear tail pipes on it too? I hope so as this will improve it further.
