No this Countach is a red/black QV DD (not red/red LP500S) owned at the time by a company called Town & Country in London that leased it out for the test & shoot for CAR magazine. I believe this was shot in a beach in Wales. Different car.

Joe, Roy, anyone...? The first Countach I ever saw in the flesh was a white/white example shown at the '83 Frankfurt show. Does anyone have any photos of this car (from the show or otherwise) they'd like to post?
Benduj78 recorded several LP500S show-cars shown that year (1983) by Lamborghini and perhaps one of these is the car you saw? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will never forget driving the old Goodwood circuit in my almost-new QV DD. This was 22 years ago well before the circuit was restored, and it was both bumpy and unsafe. I did a 360 spin at St Mary's corner the same place that put paid to Stirling Moss' career (!). What I time we had in those days, long before responsibility arrived, I can honestly say I drove that Countach as fast as the poor thing would go at night on the deserted M4 from London headed westwards Its little wonder that these days I'm content to cruise, I guess I got it all out of my system whilst I was still young & foolish (and didn't know any better!). Actually those mirrors were inspired by Wolf's F1 car and he had them fitted to 1002 first and then a set were made for his friend Karl-Heinz who by then owned his former 202. You can hardly see but here they are fitted to 1002. I have bigger pics somewhere... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I did a quick search first and did not see this posted. I have no connection to the car. "1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV FI car One owner Time Capsule just 1200 miles!" In Florida.. http://tinyurl.com/7rc9yvh
Inspiration for those mirrors was straight off the F1 car - seen here appropriately ahead of the Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is 1002 when Mainz-registered, mirror-less on the driver-side door, perhaps a redesign in the works? Image Unavailable, Please Login
And this pic of the F1 car in Canada's Racing Hall of Fame gives an idea of the the true shade of that deep dark (non-metallic) Wolf Racing blue. Image Unavailable, Please Login

That's it exactly. The Jalpa was white/white as well. Their display was just over from Aston Martin's. There was a silver Lagonda and a dark blue Volante and a dark blue Vantage. That's maddening to see that other shot though. The '83 Frankfurt show was the year Saab unveiled the 900 convertible and I clearly remember seeing it, but I don't think I saw the other two Countachs at all. Grrrr.
Thank you Joe! I had kind of suspected the idea taken from the WR1. So two sets were made? I wonder where 1002's are...
Hmmm... Adriana Lima = 1121002? I'll have to Google this person... Edit: I believe the word for her is... COUNTACH!
Since we are talking White/White Countach's. Here are 2 that were up in Washington about 2 years ago when I was on my hunt for a Countach. First is HLA12201 (ex-David K.), which has left the USA and resides in Switzerland now. Second is HLA12197 (with the ugly black front bumper). Car only has 6200km on it and is still here in Washington. Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
(Mike).. i think white on white looks great, but might as well do the rims too imo. Very interesting seat belts on the first car. Secondly, can everyone please give a Wolf Countach lesson..? how many? a photo of each? vins? and the different developments of each? There seems to be more than i thought and can't figure out which came first.... Also, are they all in Japan now? who owns them? anyone know the cars today or the owners? am i the only one lost on these cars.... Thank You
