Can anyone give me a lay down of 05-06 DB9 and 03-06 Vanquish wholesale prices? My scan of the market shows the retail pricing has dropped dramatically this quarter.

DB9 coupe with less then 10k miles from $50k to$60K.
Vanquish has more variance ,since 2005 was the S model with more HP and better tranny.
From $45k for early one to $75K-$90K for Vanquish S.

Thanks for the input. What' the basis of your data (wholesales, auction, etc). I thought the market was soft, but was actually surprised just how soft after analysis over the past few months. I'm actually looking for an 03-04 Vanquish (from a price point of view) and I'm seeing 04's in the low $70s retail, which would peg wholesale at $10-20k under in my estimation. Actually the '02's are even slightly lower as you note, due to the interior change than the '03s - pure bargains anyway you look at it for a car that was $230k+ new MSRP.

I just added early DB9s to consideration after seeing prices were, so relatively low (high $60k-low $70 retail for coupes).

Careful though..These are very expensive cars to service. I just did a tune-up on one..plugs, coils, airfilters, fuel filter, and front brake pads only..parts alone 6k. Add the labor. Intake manifold must come off to service the sparkplugs. Intake gasket alone was 400 bucks. Nice car though..glad I don't own it.

Thanks for the info are you a shop owner, tech, or AM service manager?

Pretty steep all around and most definitely a consideration (ownership cost). The local AM dealer informed me to expect $2k annually (dealer maint) and much less than Ferrari costs to keep it prime, but your "tune up" seems way over what I was told to expect, keeping in mind those were not annual service items. Based on your information I think I would need closer to a $3k set aside to average out correctly in costing and it would match or exceed a 550/575 in maintenance.

Why did it need new coils and plugs? Definitely shouldnt be mileage (ive only seen 1 Vanq with over 50kmi in 4 yrs) and age would be borderline for plugs unless it was an '02.

The gasket price is crazy. I have a CL600 that takes 24 plugs, so I would assume the same for the AM at ~$150, I saw that the rotors were approx ~$600, oil filter ~$45-50, Coil packs ~$500, and pads ~$120. Where are the other costs in that work that run it up to $6k in parts? Were the prices on parts you mention the typically high over MSRP dealer mark up? If so, I typically can source parts for much less and that would alleviate some of my concern.

    '06s in the 60s, '07 in the 70's, 08s in the 80's etc.

Note that the MSRP for the DB9 was pre-option, but they were pretty loaded to start with, while the Vantage MSRP is very scant of options which can bring an MSRP from $124k to $150k real easy.

I'm sorry but for clarification, which model are you referring to having serviced?
