Insralling NOS exhaust tips

    For several years, I have owned four original Nos exhaust tips. It is now time to install them. Is there a specific length that the tips should protrude passt the reaar bumpers, or should they be flush? My current tips are about 3/4 inches proud and they function and look (to me) perfectly..Any and all thoughts weclommed. Thank you all, and Merry Christmas.Jacques.

    You lucky dog you...if you run across another set, send a shout-out my way. I didn't get around to replacing my exhaust system this past fall because I couldn't source out the right tips. Any help from others would be 'greatly appreciated'.
    I believe the tips should not protrude past the bumpers. Mine line up with the lower outside edge of the bumper and with the car cover on, the tips don't touch the cover. I don't know if my system is stock, note the little Ansa stickers on the tips. They'll look a little odd if you go past the plane of the bumper. Believe me, I've seen it before...it doesn't look good. The only good thing about protruding the tips past the bumper is it will reduce the carbon build-up on the bumper & tail lights if you're running a little on the rich side.

    Thank you, Bruce, for the reply and pics! Your tips are mounted exactly the same as mine, and I love them this way. Very little, if any soot on my bumper. Also, I bought my tips from an f-chater in Canada. He evidently bought the wrong one for his "Queen Mother". I think I paid $100USD for them. I found them in the Ferrari Ads section. As always, just keep looking..you'll find them. Jacques.
